The Senior Director, Global Supply Chain Operations & Transformation, is a key member of the wider Global Operations senior leader team reporting to the VP, Global Customer Experience. This leadership role is one of an elite group of critical cross-functional leaders—partnering closely with Manufacturing, Strategic & Direct Procurement, Customer Operations, Legal, Finance, S&OP, and Demand Management —to drive comprehensive supply chain excellence for our broad base of customers.
In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
This role owns global leadership responsibilities, including the supply chain control tower, regional planning in Hungary and Malaysia, procurement operations, inventory management, and our supply chain center of excellence, among other capabilities! Additionally, the role will work in tandem with Procurement, S&OP and Demand Planning functions to ensure timely, efficient supply responses that drive on-time customer delivery and revenue generation. You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Customer Operations, Sales, Business Units, R&D, and Quality to ensure integration with overall business objectives!
Global Supply Chain Strategy & Execution: Develop strategy, talent, and own implementing innovative global supply chain practices and solutions aligned with annual, quarterly, and monthly corporate and operations business objectives targeted at revenue growth, inventory efficiency, profitability and on-time delivery to our customers. Leading and developing a group of dedicated leaders and a high-performing team distributed globally, primarily in the USA, Hungary, and Malaysia. Regularly supervise and adjust regional supply plans in response to market dynamics and shifting customer demands including leading a wide variety of scenario plans and customer delivery critical issues. Define, lead and support transformation and digitalization initiatives that enhance supply chain operational resilience, financial efficiency, and agility to respond to changing customer demand patterns regularly. Drive regular operational performance reviews, analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and lead implementing corrective actions across supply chain operations to ensure network health. Collaborative Leadership: Serve as one of several critical Global Operations function leaders alongside Global Manufacturing and Global Strategic & Direct Procurement. Partner with S&OP and Demand Planning to create robust, agile processes that ensure efficient supply responses and on-time delivery. Engage with Customer Operations, Sales, Business Units, R&D, and Quality to drive integrated business planning and execution success. Supply Chain Control Tower: Ensure end customer demand is prioritized correctly daily, aligning to key business outcomes, project deadlines, and regional performance targets to ensure customer loyalty. Oversee global visibility, analytics, and decision-making capabilities across the supply chain network partnered with a global functional control tower team. Develop real-time monitoring and predictive analytics tools to proactively identify potential bottlenecks, disruptions, and flexible response plans. Lead integrating advanced data analytics platforms and AI-driven insights partnered with functional and global analytics teams to enable timely, data-driven decision-making. Regional Production Planning: Partner with Global Manufacturing to optimize factory operations, demand planning, and production scheduling to ensure consistent product availability. Optimize regional supply chain operations by aligning with local manufacturing production capabilities and teams to achieve global demand forecasts. Collaborate with Global Operations and the related functional teams to implement Lean supply chain, manufacturing and continuous improvement practices. Develop region-specific operational strategies that enhance planning accuracy, reduce lead times, improve efficiency, and protect on-time delivery to customers. Inventory Management: Implement advanced inventory optimization (ex. MEIO) and supply response strategies to balance risk management with customer demand fulfillment. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop risk mitigation strategies that ensure inventory resilience at the factory site, by business unit, by raw material categories, by suppliers and much more. Use sophisticated forecasting and simulation tools to improve the accuracy of inventory demand predictions, and inventory turnover efficiency. Continuously analyze performance metrics to refine strategies that balance cost efficiency with high service levels. Supply Chain Center of Excellence: Establish and drive supply chain standard processes across all capability areas, continuous improvement initiatives, and technology innovation globally. Develop and deploy standardized supply chain processes and methodologies to ensure operational consistency, often using Lean Six Sigma for continuous improvement and other problem-solving methodologies to drive well-rounded success. Leverage enterprise-grade (Oracle EBS, Kinaxis Maestro) and emerging technologies—such as AI, machine learning, and automation—to modernize end-to-end supply chain processes. Cultivate a culture of innovation and collaboration through regular training sessions, workshops, and performance benchmarking. Partner with other business functions to support implementations of capabilities on ni.com, CPQ, MES (Manufacturing Execution System) and more. Risk Management & Compliance: Develop and implement robust strategies to mitigate supply chain disruptions while ensuring regulatory, environmental, and ethical standards are met. Continue integration of supply chain performance, sustainability, and resilience strategies with Emerson enterprise-wide supply chain leaders and teams. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field (MBA or advanced degree welcomed). 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in global supply chain operations within a high-tech, electronics, or manufacturing environment. Demonstrated success in leading supply chain transformation and digitalization initiatives. In-depth expertise in supply chain planning, production planning, inventory management, demand planning, and ERP / MRP. Proven experience collaborating across global functions, including manufacturing, S&OP, Demand Planning, and customer-focused teams. Strong analytical, critical thinking, and leadership skills with a track record of cross-functional collaboration in a matrixed organization, development of global leadership teams. Established supply chain resilience and responsiveness program development and implementation experience. Understanding of regulatory, compliance, and sustainability standard processes in supply chain management.
