If you are looking for a  senior leadership role which provides the opportunity to remain engaged with the technical aspects of mobile mining equipment while holding responsibility for P&L performance through the development and execution of product line commercial and marketing strategies, Komatsu Mining has the right position for you.  Komatsu Mining, Hard Rock is looking for a Sr. Director, Hard Rock Mining Products to be ideally located in Sudbury, Ontario, Canada. 

This position will report to the Sr. Vice President, Hard Rock Mining and will be responsible to drive the profitable management and global growth of the hard rock mining mobile equipment product lines including underground drilling, bolting, LHDs and trucks and associated BEV, automation and technology solutions by integrating, actively developing and providing leadership to the global product management teams to ensure product strategies and business plans are aligned throughout all functions of the hard rock organization and achieve expected results.

Key Job Responsibilities Responsible for development, approvals and execution of product strategy road maps inclusive of Komatsu Ltd. project, budget, timeline approvals. Responsible for the P&L performance of all hard rock products working through commercial, aftermarket distribution and operational results. Ensure global sales and marketing strategies for product lines are developed in accordance with product business plans, working closely with marketing, global commercial teams, Komatsu and third party distributors. Ensure product strategies are harmonized across similar product lines to maintain product development timelines and budgets according to market product needs. Establish and implement standardized processes, procedures through hard rock product teams and build relationships to effectively plan future organization strategy enabling execution of product strategies. Drive executable product line strategies, that align with current and future customer innovation and market needs to compete and increase global market share. Responsible for the development and execution of a harmonized hard rock battery electric and automation/technology product development strategy across hard rock product lines in collaboration with Komatsu corporate technology and product electrification teams. Collaborate with Komatsu product teams in surface mining, underground soft rock mining and construction to establish product synergies and benchmark best practices. Actively participate as a key member of the Hard Rock Senior Leadership team and provide guidance and recommendations to the mining executive leadership team on product related matters. Qualifications/Requirements Fifteen or more (15+) years of work experience with underground mining products on a global scale. Strong strategic product management skills with development of futuristic product roadmaps and product execution planning. BS / MS Engineering experience or Technical degree/diploma is required. M.B.A. or equivalency with strong business and financial acumen is preferred. Five or more years of experience managing a global team, with proven efficiency in succession development, coaching and mentorship. Knowledge of accounting and market economics with experience managing P&L in a global business. Product marketing experience and qualities are an asset whether gained through formal education and/or relevant experience.  Ability to lead the marketability analysis  of new products or product features is required. Product knowledge is very important gained through technical engineering or application experience. Previous experience providing leadership through broad change management and growth initiatives is essential. Previous experience working a global matrix organization in a broad team is essential. Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) in English with comfort communicating from operations to executive leadership and customer leadership. Previous distributor or dealer sales and service collaboration is essential. Legal eligibility to work in Canada is desired. Valid passport and driver's license with ability to travel up to 50% is required. Additional Information
