Job Scope
The Senior Director, Information Technology (IT) provides strategic leadership in the development, management, and maintenance of all IT systems (ERP, web, mobile, phone, etc.), integration and enterprise architecture utilized by Acumed employees globally. This role establishes and drives the long-term IT vision and roadmap, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and readiness for future technological advancements. The Senior Director advises the Executive Team on enterprise architecture needs and costs, ensuring timely budget preparation for future projects. This position oversees the prioritization and execution of IT initiatives, establishes robust project tracking processes, and ensures IT operations are effective, efficient, and aligned with the organization’s objectives. Additionally, the Senior Director builds and leads a high-performing IT team to support Acumed’s current and future needs.
Duties/Responsibilities
Develop and execute a strategic technological vision to enhance enterprise architecture, ensuring alignment with business objectives and priorities.Lead the creation of business cases and cost/benefit analyses to drive decision-making for IT initiatives and spending.Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to design and implement technology plans that support organizational needs.Oversee the development and execution of disaster recovery and business continuity plans to safeguard operations.Evaluate complex business needs and present innovative, cost-effective technology solutions to the Executive Team.Ensure robust IT support for all Acumed locations, remote users, and subsidiaries, including international operations. Provide technical guidance to address infrastructure and building maintenance related to business operations.Establish and enforce IT policies, procedures, and standards to optimize acquisition, implementation, and operation of systems and technologies.Ensure technology solutions adhere to industry standards for security, privacy, and architecture, while maintaining high-quality outcomes.Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies, recommending opportunities for innovation and improvement.Oversee IT systems to ensure maximum uptime for critical business operations, including SAP systems, desktop software, telecommunications, and business machines.Drive continuous improvement in IT standards to maintain a competitive edge in technology.Manage and prioritize team workloads, ensuring timely and efficient project execution.Establish and monitor service-level agreements to maintain high-quality delivery of technical services.Direct the analysis, design, and implementation of hardware and software to maximize common process and minimize costs by efficiently controlling the infrastructure environment while meeting end user requirements.Provides direction for determining systems requirements, hardware and software acquisition and defining solutions and making recommendations to management for approval. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.12+ years of progressive experience in IT leadership roles, including significant experience managing complex technological operations.Proven success in leading IT teams through growth, mergers, or multi-site expansions.Demonstrated expertise in IT infrastructure, ERP systems (preferably SAP), telecommunications, and security protocols.Strong ability to apply technological solutions to business challenges with a focus on innovation and efficiency.Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to deliver results in a dynamic environment.Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to diverse audiences.Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive information.Following receipt of a conditional offer of employment, candidates will be required to complete additional job-related screening processes as permitted or required by applicable law.
