The Senior Director of Technology Compliance at T-Mobile is a dynamic leader responsible for the vision, strategy, and delivery of risk and control technology solutions. This role oversees the design, product roadmap, and technical build of key product portfolios or platforms, ensuring alignment with business strategies and risk mitigation. The Senior Director develops strategic partnerships across technology and business organizations, fostering innovation and driving product and technology strategy. They manage a large team and a significant budget, contributing to the achievement of core business and technology metrics. Through their leadership, they play a crucial role in influencing T-Mobile's risk and compliance landscape, promoting a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

The FinPro Process & Controls team is responsible for assisting the 1st line business and IT teams responsible for ensuring SOX compliance at T-Mobile through Control Design, Remediation, Optimization, Baselining activities and Change Management resulting from business evolution and ensuring a controlled environment. This team is critical to ensuring financial accuracy of our internal and external reporting in providing reasonable assurance over T-Mobile’s financial reporting and covers SOX Business Processes which also rely on dependent applications, systems and databases. The infrastructure required to support these business process controls also requires ITGC, SDLC and SOD controls.

Un-carrier® Responsibilities

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all technology systems and processes comply with relevant financial regulations and standards (e.g., Sarbanes-Oxley, GDPR, PCI-DSS). This involves staying updated on changes in regulations and adapting compliance strategies accordingly.Policy Development and Enforcement: Develop, implement, and maintain business & technology compliance policies, procedures (process flows and SOPs). This includes creating guidelines for data management, security, and privacy working closely with and supporting the 1st line.Risk Management: Identify and assess business & technology-related risks that could impact compliance, security, or financial integrity. Develop risk mitigation strategies and oversee their implementation.Technology Evaluation: Assess new technologies and systems for compliance with financial regulations and internal policies before they are adopted.

The Experience You’ll Bring

10+ years’ experience managing teams of 5 or more Manager level direct reports with skip level employees.10+ years of relevant Risk Management experience in an agile software product development environment. Advanced level understanding of customer experience.Demonstrates complete mastery of business side skills (communication, customer research, product vision, feature definition), as well as technical architecture, Dev, and execution skills.Mastery level (industry leading) understanding of customer experience.Mastery level understanding of platform technologies and components such as security, performance, optimization, API integration.Experience in delivering large and complex business/technology initiatives.In-depth subject matter expertise in several core wireless technology related areas.Proven success in directing matrixed resources and delivering software, with Agile Scrum methodologies and other commonly used tools, across multiple teams.Mastery of requirements elicitation and writing skills including the ability to write concisely and clearly for different audiences.Experience with Agile backlog/project management tools.Experience with successive elaboration and ability to develop Initiatives, Features and User Stories that the DevOps teams can ingest.Proven ability to effectively and efficiently communicate with Leadership, technical and non-technical audiences while employing a high degree of collaboration and influence.Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences including executives and non-technical leaders.Experience with embedded mobile software platforms, and SW platforms such as Android, iOS, and Windows Phone. Previous experience working with mobile OEMs and chipset manufacturers.Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to identify/analyze/synthesize product use data and use the data to drive decisions.Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) preferred.

Base Pay Range: $208,800 - $282,400

Corporate Bonus Target: 35%

The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the role. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as qualifications and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee’s eligible earnings in the prior year.
