Job Overview: 

The Senior Director of Data Governance Leader in Azure Cloud will lead the development and implementation of data governance policies, standards, and processes to ensure data quality, security, and compliance across the organization's Azure Cloud data environment. This individual will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive a data governance strategy that aligns with the organization's overall goals and objectives. 

What You’ll Do for Us

Key Responsibilities: 

Develop and implement a data governance framework, policies, and standards for the organization's Azure cloud data environment. 

Oversee the data governance program, including data quality, data classification, metadata management, and data privacy and security. 

Collaborate with business leaders, IT, and other stakeholders to establish data governance best practices and ensure that data governance initiatives align with business goals. 

Define and implement data governance metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of the data governance program. 

Lead developing and maintaining data governance tools and technologies to support data governance initiatives. 

Provide guidance and support to cross-functional teams on data governance-related matters. 

Responsible for providing domain-specific and schema-specific guidelines needed for ETL from different data domain teams. 

Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements related to data governance and cloud technologies. 

Develop and deliver data governance training and awareness programs to ensure all employees understand their roles and responsibilities in maintaining data quality and compliance. 

Accountable for the overall function vision of Enterprise Data Catalog, data lineage, and metadata. 

Qualifications: 

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Management, or a related field. 

10+ years of experience in data governance, data management, or a related field. 

Strong knowledge of Azure cloud technologies and services. 

3+ years of experience with data cataloging tools such as Purview, Alation, Collibra, etc. 

Experience in developing and implementing data governance frameworks and policies. 

Proven leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams. 

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. 

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 

Experience with data governance tools and technologies. 

Familiarity with industry regulations and compliance requirements related to data governance and cloud technologies. 

Strong ability to effectively influence at different levels of the organization to deliver results.  

Ability to identify and partner with strategic solution providers and service providers to deliver high-quality outcomes. 

Can create a vision to develop and maintain a multi-year capability roadmap for data catalog and other data governance applications.

Pay Range:

$181,000 - $210,000

Base pay offered may vary depending on geography, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position, is offered.
