See how your contributions will help transform vision into reality:** Position Overview: The **Senior** **Director of M&A and Business Development** will play an essential role in delivering the company’s strategic growth initiatives. This person will manage all phases of the M&A process; lead the efforts for evaluating incoming targets, create valuation models, assess complex scenarios, present to executive leadership, lead diligence processes, assist in negotiation on transaction terms and work closely with external bankers/firm to establish strategic partnerships. In addition, this person will be the lead on Business Development efforts related to M&A which include assessing strategic fit of potential targets and support the Strategy team in evaluation of future strategic platforms. The position reports into the SVP of Enterprise Finance and is an outstanding opportunity to lead in a financial role which bolsters business acumen, strategic capabilities, interface with business executives, and work in a collaborative team environment. **At Brunswick, we have passion for our work and a distinct ability to deliver.** Essential Functions: + Lead an array of activities related to M&A and Business Development, including deal assessments, financial analyses, due diligence, closing activities, and research + Lead the full cycle of transaction process from developing target pipelines, drafting LOI, evaluating financials, leading asset purchase agreement process, working through diligence and closing processes + Drive financial valuation models and perform sensitivity analyses, working with functional experts, division strategy leaders and operational leaders to understand a business’ trajectory and potential synergies + Serve as project manager of key M&A related activities, working collaboratively to mitigate risks and drive towards successful completion + Interact with financial firms and bankers to engage in analytics and pipeline of opportunities + Effectively convert analytics into succinct presentations for executive team and BOD + Manage, mentor and train direct team members in M&A + Engage with executive leadership in the support of corporate and business development activities including partnerships, strategic investments, growth initiatives, and special projects + Support post transaction activities including integration, division transitions and multi-year analysis + Partner with senior leaders across divisions and functions to create materials for strategy as related to future M&A to deliverable financial targets + Have deep business knowledge to interface with business teams on products and companies of future interest + Collaborate with business divisions and functions to build and execute on long-term financial plans **Diversity of thought and experiences is fundamental when imagining the unimaginable. Certain skillsets/experiences are necessary; however, others can be developed along the way.** Required Qualifications: + 10+ years of experience in financial modeling/analyses, corporate development, investment banking, or private equity. + Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, engineering or other relevant field. + Experience with companies manufacturing engineered products and providing related services + Strong business acumen, strategic mindset, and communications skills + Exceptional analytical capabilities and expertise in valuation modeling and financial analyses + Ability to lead a team, manage direct reports and work through ambiguity + Have leadership experience and ability to work independently with limited direct supervision while managing various complex priorities concurrently and maintaining a keen attention to details + Prefers a team-based environment and collaborates across multiple functions and levels of an organization Preferred Qualifications: + Advanced degree or professional certification (MBA/CPA/CFA) preferred. The anticipated pay range for this position is $144,700 - $244,200 annually. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors, including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location. In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. This position is also eligible for an award target as part of Brunswick's long-term incentive program. At Brunswick, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the salary range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the specifics of the candidate’s qualifications and the business context.
