Sr. Director - Oncology & Neuroscience Business Unit Director

Eli Lilly Taiwan – Sr. Business Unit Director-Oncology and Neuroscience

Responsibility:

At Lilly Taiwan, “we unite caring with discovery to create medicines that make life better for people,” and the Business Unit (BU) Director will be central to the ability of our affiliate to reach this goal. Lilly has a strong footprint in Oncology and a promising pipeline in Neuroscience, particularly Alzheimer’s Disease.

The Business Unit Director will lead a commercial team in Lilly Taiwan, including leading the Sales and Marketing organizations, developing in-market products and preparing for future launches across Oncology & Neuroscience.

This role will be responsible for all strategic, operational and financial decisions related to our Oncology and Neuroscience brands, carries significant responsibility for leading and directing the broad strategic decisions that are required across the Oncology and Neuroscience portfolio.

The Oncology & Neuroscience BUD is accountable for developing a bold plan to launch Lilly’s Alzheimer's portfolio, maintain the momentum in Oncology and develop a high performing team that is capable of advancing the healthcare system to advance healthcare policy and patient outcomes. This includes all strategic and operational decisions as well as P&L accountability related to Lilly’s Oncology and Neuroscience brands.

This individual in this role is also a member of the Lilly Taiwan leadership team and is expected to be an active member of the team, helping to advance the broader goals of the organization.

The key responsibilities for Business Unit Director are outline below and is not limited to these items:

People:

Lead, coach and develop a diverse team of sales and marketers as they look to reach people suffering from related diseases. Identify key talent ready to advance outcomes of patients and their caregiversDevelop a performance-based culture across both direct and indirect reports in order to continue to drive change in the healthcare ecosystem in order to accelerate reaching patients across Taiwan who may benefit from these medicines.Participate on the affiliate Leadership Team with responsibility to foster an environment where employees feel welcomed, valued, respected and heard.Work across boundaries – partnering with international teams, as well as a variety of different stakeholders in the marketplace and within Lilly to maximize the brand opportunity.

Patients:

Develop a clear and relevant overview of Oncology and Neuroscience landscape in Taiwan including, but not exclusively - diagnosis, imaging, referral patterns, treatment flow, infusion capacity, treatment options.Understand the needs for people with related diseases across Taiwan as well as their caregivers.Leverage global & regional commercialization strategies embedded in the local plans to accelerate speed to market and minimize workload.Lead external engagement with key stakeholders (Patient assistance groups, government, HCPs and medical centers)

Performance

Set a clear vision and direction for Taiwan Oncology and Neuroscience business and prepare for future needs of the portfolio.Build a strong operational plan to maximize market impact of in market brands and prepare for new term launches utilizing a variety of channels, which will drive a positive customer experience.Build a winning plan to exceed patient goals while maximizing revenue and managing expenses efficiently.Ensure that Ethics and Compliance is at the center of all decisions and operations within the team.


 

Qualifications:

Minimum 2 years of Sales experience required; prior Sales management experience preferred. 5+ years of consistent and sustained top performance in a marketing leadership role (e.g., Marketing Manager or equivalent) required. Product launch experience is preferred. Winning Mindset and a desire to shape the future of healthcareProven people management experience with ability to develop, coach, retain, and lead a patient centric & winning team. Strong business acumen with expertise in strategic planning, analysis and brand management to develop brand and business strategic direction. Passion for engaging externally with ability to develop Thought Leader & key stakeholder relationships in line with brand strategy.  Proven cross-functional partnering capabilities, particularly with Medical and PRAExpertise in execution excellence, including strong problem-solving skills, timely decision making, influence and negotiation skills, and operational plan development and implementation experience. High standard of ethics and compliance
