$147,000 - $237,600Lilly is launching several new Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) facilities to meet patient demand. These facilities will produce medicine for both current and future products. To ensure these facilities begin with a strong culture of safety, quality, and operational excellence, the RAMP (Rapid Access of Medicines for Patients) Leader will be responsible for supporting all new facility start-ups. This includes coordinating a network of experts to assist the sites during key milestones and developing standardized processes and practices to expedite start up for current greenfield facilities and future new facilities across Lilly’s Global API network.
This is a unique opportunity to support global startup activities for greenfield manufacturing sites, and the successful candidate will help ensure overall site readiness plans in order to enable successful start-ups into GMP manufacturing operations.

Main Purpose and Objectives of Position:
This position will coordinate the deployment of key experts across Lilly’s API network to support new site startups through key milestones such as commissioning and qualification activities, engineering runs, process validations, and on through licensure and initial operational ramp-up periods. It will partner with site heads and functional area leaders to coordinate resources responsible for supporting the sites through these milestones as additional technical capacity.
The position will work closely with Lilly’s central engineering, technical services, information technology, HSE, quality assurance, and quality control teams to identify and deploy resources to different sites. Additionally, it will collaborate with network leadership to coordinate assignments for building skills and capabilities of newly hired Lilly employees at the new facilities through training and short-term opportunities at existing operational Lilly facilities. The position will also work directly with site leadership to build and maintain a strategic resourcing plan to ensure the needs of their organizations are met for on-time, right first-time start-ups.
Furthermore, the position will be accountable for managing the strategic resourcing plan, building and reporting KPIs to measure monthly performance, establishing standards for new site start-ups, and managing tactical day-to-day activities to achieve all major start-up objectives.
Location for the position can be the Lilly Corporate Center or at one of the existing sites within the API and Dry (ADN) Network. The position will be up to 50% travel to the various startup sites; currently located in Lebanon, IN and Limerick, Ireland. Future startup sites will also be within the scope of the role.

Plan with sites and central functional leaders to identify resources and implementation plans required to support site start-up activities and ensure balanced deployment across sites.Lead, directly or indirectly, a team of experts across all manufacturing functions that supports the delivery of key milestones for new start-up facilities.Coordinate cross-network short term assignments of newly hired employees to operational sites on learning-by-doing assignments where new hires go to existing sites to execute work to learn Lilly practices.Partner with relevant functional leaders to ensure resources are available for start-up activities.Connect and liaise with site leadership at new sites to ensure they have adequate support.Effectively communicate and manage internal and external stakeholders.Develop common tools and practices for site start-up activities.Identify and forecast resource needs by start-up site and facilitate getting resources assigned.Develop and present performance metrics to appropriate site and network governance forums.Hire and build a team of operational leaders who are excellent in execution, process-minded, and excellent peer coaches.Attributes for the Role

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline (Engineering/Science) and experience in a functional or operational leadership role within the pharmaceutical industry.Must possess knowledge and understanding of cGMPs and how they apply to manufacturing operations.Should have a demonstrated track record of successfully developing, managing and executing projects from start to finish on time and within budget, with high performance standards that ensure customer satisfaction.Additional
