Sr. Director Supply Chain Operations
The Sr. Director - Supply Chain will lead and develop end - to - end solutions by driving strategy and execution for a complex business unit(s) within the Supply Chain. This individual will be responsible for leading a large functional corporate and field based team within Supply Chain. This role will increase supply chain effectiveness and will direct all execution in area(s) of responsibility including strategy, cost control, operational efficiency, productivity, people development and support for the retail stores and customers.
The Sr. Director, Supply Chain works with cross-functional business partners across the Supply Chain and Distribution network, Field Operations teams, Merchandising and IT organizations; drives external relationships with third party providers. Excellent executive communication skills, ability to lead and manage change, drive process improvements and a demonstrated ability to deliver results in large-scale business units are critical to the success of this position.


Key Responsibilities:

20% Designs initiatives and develops strategies to increase the effectiveness of the Supply Chain function.20% Uses high level strategic thinking to develop end-to-end solutions that provide large scale impacts to the Supply Chain.15% Builds plans for sustainability and long-term success of Supply Chain functional goals and initiatives15% Reviews financial performance, safety issues, morale issues and service- and inventory levels to ensure optimal functioning of the Supply Chain area(s) of responsibility.15% Builds relationships with cross - functional business partners to drive product availability to stores.15% Effectively manages and executes changes needed to drive business process improvements in functional area(s).


Direct Manager/Direct Reports:

Typically reports to a Vice President of Supply ChainAccountable for the management of a department or functional group through subordinate supervisors/managers and for all personnel issues -- including selection, termination, performance appraisal and professional development of subordinates.


Travel Requirements:

Typically requires overnight travel 50%


Physical Requirements:

Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.


Working Conditions:

Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
