Sr. EDI Implementation Specialist
JOB SUMMARY The Senior EDI Implementation Specialist will work directly with the EDI Manager to design, develop, test, maintain, and support the EDI interfaces and systems between PIP’s trading partners and core business systems. This position will be directly responsible for new trading partner integrations as well as maintaining and improving existing trading partner profiles with the goal of maintaining high scorecard ratings. The Senior EDI Implementation Specialist functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and performs any duty assigned to best serve the team and company. Job Responsibilities + Technical Expertise – Strong knowledge of EDI systems, integrations, and trading partner interfaces. + Problem-Solver – Skilled in troubleshooting and resolving EDI transactional and integration issues. + Process-Oriented – Focused on maintaining and improving existing trading partner profiles and operational efficiency. + Detail-Oriented – Ensures accuracy in system integrations, EDI mapping, and data transmissions. + Analytical Thinker – Reviews business processes to identify areas for improvement and automation. + Strong Communicator – Works effectively with internal teams, trading partners, and IT resources. + Leadership Ability – Provides guidance in the setup and maintenance of EDI systems and partnerships. + Customer-Focused – Ensures seamless integration experiences with trading partners through timely responses. + Collaborative Team Player – Works across departments to support business objectives and IT initiatives. + Adaptable & Self-Motivated – Thrives in a high-growth environment with shifting priorities. CORE SKILLS/COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS Knowledge & Experience: + 5 to 7+ years of experience in the Integration and EDI transactional level in a consumer products manufacturing/distribution organization with: + Advanced EDI standards knowledge + Previous EDI mapping experience. + Experience dealing with major retailers and retailer’s portals. + System mapping design and troubleshooting + Database knowledge such as SQL Server, Oracle, etc. + Understanding of business processes improvement principles. + Ability to document and communicate processes and steps. + Experience working in a high growth, changeable environment with competing priorities.
