Job Description
Arcadis is currently looking for a Sr. Electrical Engineer in the GTA offices, however the role is potentially open to remote work, within the Canadian landscape. The Sr. Electrical Engineer role will lead electrical building design from concept and detail design, to construction support, for projects across our offices such as industrial, civic, commercial and more.
Working within our Design & Engineering teams, you'll create some of the world’s most iconic and ground-breaking structures and spaces that transform the world around us, from making journeys easier to opening public places that bring people together.

Role accountabilities:
Prepares electrical designs and drawings of building facilities and building electrical systems including power, lighting, fire alarm, PA, IT, etc., using computer-aided tools (e.g. EDSA and ETAP analytical software, CDEGS grounding software, Revit, AutoCad, and MicroStation CAD systems)Assist to identify cost-effective solutions to design problemsLeads electrical design teams on larger multi-discipline projectsLiaises internally with project managers and other discipline project leaders to obtain project information and to discuss specific design related problemsAssists in creating and presenting technical reports regarding the nature, status, and results of design or study assignmentsRequires the ability to recognize the implications of assigned work on the work of other disciplines, and ensures the necessary coordination occurs
Qualifications
Qualifications and Experience:
A bachelor's degree in electrical engineering plus 10+ years’ experience in buildings electrical systems design preferred in a consulting or utility environment.Must have or be eligible for the P. Eng. designation in OntarioStrong skills in the use of the REVIT modeling system is an assetElectrical design and specification experience in the following building systems: power distribution in buildings, lighting design, fire alarm systems, card access and camera security systems, PA systems, telecommunications systems and audio-visual systemsStrong knowledge and understanding of the Ontario Electrical Safety CodeStrong written and verbal communications skillsAdditional Information
