Collins Aerospace is currently searching for an Electrical Engineering Manager to join our team in Richardson, TX.

This is an ONSITE position located in Richardson, TX. A comprehensive relocation package is available for qualified candidates.

Job Summary

This position is for a highly motivated manager to lead a team of 10-15 Electrical Engineers whose charter is to develop Electrical designs for Mission Systems. This team develops designs for multiple, interconnected nuclear-hardened LRUs which are critical components for the survivable, endurable, reliable airborne command, control and communications platform required by our customers. We are looking for ambitious individuals who take pride in their contributions to the defense and security of the United States.

Remaining time spent on people management, staffing, and career developmentBasic Qualifications:Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. MUST be able to obtain a TS DoD Clearance if not already obtained.U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearanceTypically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experiencePrevious Hands-on experience with Circuit card design

Preference will be given to candidates that possess the following:

Possess an active U.S. DoD Secret Clearance Candidate selected will be subject to a program security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements.Prior management experience of a technical team and proven experience working in a cross functional environment interfacing with Systems, Mechanical, Test, and Software Engineering.Hands-on experience in PCB circuit design and digital designPractical experience in all phases of Engineering product development; pursuit, design, new product introduction (NPI), qualification, integration, and production supportExperience with product design to military standardsProven experience interfacing with DoD customers and company senior leadership with the ability to communicate effectively at varying levels of leadership.  Preferred candidates must possess the ability to translate complex technical topics in a conventional wayExperienced with low voltage power supplies, controllers, and translation modules.Direct experience in military development bid and proposal effortsDirect experience in Cost Account Management (CAM) and Earn Value Management Systems (EVMS)Experience/knowledge with development methods such as AgileExperience/knowledge of airborne communications systems, radios, and antennas (VLF, HF, UHF, V/UHF, and EHF)Experience with high-speed design.Familiar with FPGA design processes

The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
