Actual starting pay will vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, experience, skills, specialty, and education.

Eligible for an Annual Discretionary Cash Bonus Target: 10%

Eligible for an Annual Discretionary Restricted Stock Units Bonus Target: 10%

These discretionary target bonuses may be awarded semi-annually based upon your achievement of performance goals and targets.

About This Job

The Email Marketing & Automation Specialist is a creative and tech-savvy thinker responsible for executing and optimizing email marketing and automation campaigns. This role plays a part in enhancing customer engagement, retention, and conversion through compelling email and marketing automation. The ideal candidate will possess strong HTML and CSS skills, a deep understanding of email marketing best practices, and experience with marketing technology platforms. This position will join a new division in the Axos Enterprise Marketing team within the newly-formed Marketing Tech & Revenue Operations department.

Responsibilities:

Email Campaign Execution: Design, and execute engaging email campaigns ensuring high-quality and responsive email templatesMarketing Automation: Build and manage marketing automation workflows (journeys) that include email, SMS, and push notifications, ensuring seamless execution and integration with other systemsIntegration & Data Management: collaborate with tech teams in terms of data feeds and integrations with Salesforce, Contentful and other systemsBest Practices and Optimization: Serve as the Subject Matter Expert for email marketing best practices, deliverability, and optimization techniques. Conduct A/B tests and analyze results to optimize future campaignsReporting and Analytics: Produce email marketing reports and analytics, providing insights and recommendations to improve campaign performanceCollaboration: Work closely with marketing and business unit teams to understand their email and web content requirements and technical specifications, ensuring alignment and effective execution

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Design, Digital Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience5+ years of experience creating email templates and landing pages, with the ability to build emails from scratch5+ years of experience hands-on managing automated marketing campaigns using cloud technology (e.g., Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Marketo, Eloqua, Pardot)Intermediate knowledge of AMPScript and SQLStrong experience with email creation and management platformsHands-on experience/ knowledge of Salesforce Marketing Cloud (preferred); open to other systems like Marketo, Eloqua, PardotKnowledge of CRM/ Salesforce (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud) is a big plusIntermediate SQL skillsAmpscript skillsExcellent eye for email design and UX that engages, nurtures, and converts subscribersProven experience using email testing, rendering, and deliverability tools such as Validity Everest, Litmus, etcProven success in developing and executing email marketing strategies that drive engagement and conversionKnowledge of email marketing best practices and analytics, including email deliverabilityUnderstanding of the end-to-end experience of emails and forms/landing pages from creation to deploymentKnowledge of Marketing Automation concepts such as Lead Management, scoring, Demand Generation, Personalization, and Lifecycle/Growth Marketing is a plusSelf-motivated, detail-oriented, organized, with a desire for complete ownership of projectsFlexible, can-do attitude, excelling in a highly dynamic environmentCreative problem-solver with a passion for email marketing and designCertifications in Salesforce Marketing Cloud or other marketing automation platforms.Experience in coding HTML with the ability to build emails and landing pages from scratch.Experience in Headless CMS (such as Contentful) and/or other composable marketing technologies.
