DHL Express US is hiring for a Sr. Engineer, Facilities & Network, a critical member of the IT Infrastructure team, who works with cross-functional teams to develop processes and controls that improve efficiency, increase customer satisfaction, and improve the user experience across all Service Centers in the US. This role will oversee telecom services and back-office operations including telecom (IT network) implementations, voice service, telecom sites relocation, expansions, vendor management, and implementation of optimization cost initiatives.

This position will capture and analyze application incidents needs to support the business flow/procedure and should be able tomanage andmaintainreports on activities (e.g., Service NOW), present observations,trackinitiatives, prepare metrics,andmaintainITinventorylevels.

\n

Key Responsibilities:

\n

\n\nImplement, monitor, and manage the correct telecom infrastructure for US Express by multiple vendors (i.e., telecom carriers, facilities vendors). \nEnsure uninterrupted end-to-end telecom services (i.e., routers, switches, circuits) delivered to internal users. \nImplement the technological lifecycle of the products for telecom services, as well ensure, drive, and improve IT audit compliance of telecom services.\nDevelop short- and long-term projects for increasing or improving capabilities and updating equipment to improve telecom networks.\nFollow up and manage the financial spend on telecom services, including forecasting and budgeting, and defining technological strategies for building out a well-managed operation, inclusive of automated and preventive controls, driving the prioritization process, highlighting critical dependencies. \nTechnical accountability for Routing, Switching (Lan, Wireless services), telecom provisioning & management, service with public links & voice infrastructure, and proxy/ internet services & remote telecom access. \nProvide technical support for Peripheral devices used in DHL Express (e.g., Conveyor, Dim Weight, Xray, Scan Tunnel).\nFollow compliant operational process and procedures from BIT Infrastructure, and Third-party Service Providers, around BIT Services functions such as provisioning, management services, establish Service Level Agreements (SLA/OLA) \nResponsible to follow up the standard process of BIT (AOP, BCA, BCRS, GPPRB, Project Management,POprocess,participatein build/acceptance test stages from initiation to deployment/transition to support.\nOverseeMDF/IDF Telecom roomsof the Service Centers, ManageAutomationcomponentsremotely(e.g.,Server,tethered Scanners andXray machinesScannerofAutomation)\nTechnicalVendorManagement(thirdpartyvendor). May oversee the completion ofday-to-dayactivitiesor assignments, includingphysical support, assigning,monitoring, and reviewing progress and accuracy of work, evaluating results, etc.may contribute tovendor development.\n

\nTypically requires BS/BA in related discipline and 8+ years of Technology Experience in related field or MS/MA.\nProfessional certification or similar: ITILv3/4, Cloud (IAAS,PAAS, SAAS), Cisco (CCNP, CCIE), Microsoft certifications, Project Management PMP.\n\n\nStrong understanding of modern telecom management platforms: \n\nSDWAN solutions with IPv6 \nVoice SIP, call center & collaboration services \nTelecom public cloud technologies\n\nKnowledge of ITIL functions (incident management, change management, knowledge base and issue management, IT asset and license management, service level management).\nProject management (agile/waterfall)\n\nStrong team/project management/networking abilities bringing together groups from different areas of the business. \nExperience managing vendors in a technology outsourced environment services & operation management. \nMust be able to lead technology deployment and support efforts.\n\n\nExperience and Knowledge of Telecom (network), Servers, Collaboration (Video, Voice Services, Cisco) and Security Technologies such as,IPSec, VPN, Routers, DNS, DHCP, Virtual Machines, Active Directory Policies, Collaboration Technologies.\nServes as consultant to management on major matterspertaining topolicies, plans, andobjectives.State-of-the-artknowledge of technologies, processes, and practices.\nSkilled in communicating conceptual and technical documentation both verbally (on phone, one-on-one, to groups) and writing (technical designs, architecture technologies, presentations) to various audiences (work group team, management, internal clients).\n\n\n
