Sr. Engineer, Web Traffic Management
Overview **This position will be hybrid (3 days in office in Dallas, TX)** Foot Locker is seeking a passionate and highly skilled Senior Web Traffic Management Engineer to join our growing team. You will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining robust security solutions internally and at the edge of our network, ensuring our systems deliver a secure, best-in-class experience to our customers. Responsibilities Analyze web traffic data and security events to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities, taking proactive steps to mitigate risks. Stay up to date on emerging cyber security threats and technologies in the domain of automation, recommending and implementing new security solutions as needed. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Security Operations, Network Engineering, etc.) to ensure a holistic approach to web traffic administration. Troubleshoot and resolve security and web traffic incidents related to automated threats. Automate tasks and workflows to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Securely document configurations, policies, and procedures for ongoing reference. Participate in web traffic audits and assessments, providing technical expertise and insights. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (Master's degree preferred). Minimum 5 years of experience managing web traffic, with an emphasis on web server configuration and HTTP/CDN (e.g. NGINX, Apigee-X). Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, Shell) for automation tasks is a nice to have. Proven experience working in Linux environment. Strong understanding of security principles, threats, and vulnerabilities. Strong understanding of network protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, SSL/TLS) and network tools. Benefits The annual base salary range is $90,000 -$130,000. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. This role is also eligible to receive short term incentives that align with individual and company performance. Salary will be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
