Brief Description:
The Sr. Engineer will play a crucial role in ensuring the functionality, longevity, and safety of NexTier Power Solutions assets. This dynamic role requires applying technical expertise to develop and implement maintenance strategies, enhance equipment reliability, and provide critical support to operations. The Sr. Engineer will collaborate across teams to align maintenance and reliability efforts with broader operational goals while adapting to evolving business needs. Detailed Description:
Promote HSE values and perform job duties in accordance with NexTier’s safety policy and standard operating procedures.Develop and implement maintenance strategies to ensure optimal equipment performance, reliability, longevity, and safe operation.Provide technical expertise and support to the operations team, troubleshooting and resolving equipment issues across various products.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align maintenance and reliability efforts with broader operational goals.Plan, manage, and execute projects to improve asset lifetime, ensure asset integrity, and retrofit or repair assets as needed.Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and failure mode analysis (FMA) to prevent equipment failures and optimize reliability.Adapt to additional tasks and responsibilities as business needs evolve, including potential involvement in new projects, initiatives, or process improvements.
Job Requirements:
Strong safety mindset with a proven track record of prioritizing safety in all aspects of work.Extensive experience in developing and implementing maintenance strategies to optimize equipment performance and reliability.Expertise in troubleshooting complex technical issues with exceptional attention to detail.Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across various departments and service lines.Strong familiarity with control systems and data analysis, including interpreting data for decision-making in equipment maintenance and reliability improvements.Ability to manage multiple projects effectively while remaining flexible to take on new responsibilities as business needs evolve.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant engineering discipline.10+ of relevant industry experience in equipment maintenance and reliability
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s Degree in Engineering or a related field.Professional Engineering (PE) license or relevant industry certifications.Experience with asset management software and predictive maintenance technologies.
Additional Details:
The Sr, Engineer must work with an emphasis on safety for themselves and others including coworkers and third parties. The typical work environment will be in the shop or field which will require exposure to outdoor weather conditions, loud noise, working near moving mechanical parts, electrical energy, construction equipment, vibration, fumes, chemicals, and airborne particles.
