Job Description

Position Overview:

Leads the planning process of new products and/or improvements to existing products, focusing on project concerns such as cost, completion dates, resource allocation, quality/reliability, resource allocation, budget allocation, etc.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties: 

Ability to run multiple high-profile projects simultaneously - Each PDE will have specific accts that they will be assigned too, however as projects arise, they will be given other projects from smaller customers if needProvides technical leadership to various engineering projects and coordinate across all disciplines while giving work direction and inputs to business functional groups and provide leadership in resolving complex technical issuesMust have excellent communication skills in both written and verbal form - As the person who is coordinating all aspects of the project communication is incredibly important.Develops and implements resource plans in order to ensure the proper resources are allocated for successful completion of the project(s)Must be able to manage both internal and external customersMust have a good understanding of SPC and quality practices - As the project leader you will receive data from the bottles throughout the project.  The PDE will need to interpret the data and make decisions on the path moving forwardMust have the ability to lead a team of individuals that will not be reporting directly to youMust have a good understanding of EBM, ISBM, IBM, and IM technologiesPlastic processing experience is a plusTooling build experience a plusComputer skills are very important... Excel, Word, Outlook, MS Project, is a must... CAD background is a plusCapable of developing and managing project budgetsAbility to work within a procedure-based organization but capable of extending outside those boundaries if requiredWillingness to make decisions and to learn from them when requiredMakes decisions and sets direction based on financial measures and strategies while seeing the big picture that is necessary to understand Amcor’s strategy, competitive position, and business environmentCreates clear policies and professional and engineering/design principles to address differing and variable situations and teaches these to others. Qualifications:

Education:  Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field; packaging discipline preferred8 or more years of experience working with injection and blow molding equipment, tooling, and processingDeep technical knowledge in this industry, and understanding of industry trends and how they apply to customersTravel 50%
