Sr. Equipment Accountant Perrysburg, OH 43551 Kwest Senior Equipment Accountant Position Description Position: Sr. Equipment Accountant – Construction Equipment Report to: Controller - Operations Job Description Overview The Equipment Accountant will help the Kwest Group’s leadership team analyze the economic health of the organization, through accurate and timely financial reports and counsel. As a member of the Accounting team, the primary responsibilities of this position are to carry out equipment costing duties, as well as to assist with preparation of financial statements. Responsibilities + Equipment Invoice Entry + Equipment Purchase Orders + Analyze cost and make sure coded to proper categories. + Under-Utilization Entries + Fuel Cards + Track, Monitor, and Maintain + Monthly Allocations + Track and Monitor Vehicle Allowance and Compliance + EZ Pass Management + Equipment Budgets + Monitor, Respective Journal Entries + Tracking Equipment Leases, Loans, Purchasing + Fixed Assets + Track and confer with Auditors. + Depreciation + Assist in the development of internal rates. + IFTA Tax Tracking and Quarterly Filing + Cost Savings Analysis & Reporting + Track and Monitor Equipment Damage Requirements and Qualifications + Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, Business, or equivalent hands-on experience + Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word + Strong organizational skills and attention to detail + Must be able to pass a background & drug test. + Ability to travel to client meetings, conferences, and regional/divisional offices. + Travel may include air travel and overnight hotel stays. + Position is based on a 40-hour workweek, with flexibility to adjust during busier weeks, including occasional evenings and weekends as needed. Working Conditions & Physical Demands + Frequently required to sit; talk or hear; and use hands to handle, or touch objects or controls. + Regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion the team member may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders. + Must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. + Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. + The team member must be able to differentiate and / or identify colors. + Must have knowledge of occupational hazards in construction field and standard safety practices. Must be able to pass the 30 Hour OSHA testing and First Aid/CPR requirements before starting work. + Must complete and meet requirements under the physical demands of this job description through a pre-employment physical examination.
