CACI is seeking a Sr. Estimator (Cost & Production) to provide technical and program support for the MMSC Ship Program, CSC Program, SEA05 and various major NAVSEA and DHS clients. The Sr. Estimator will provide IGEs (Independent Government Estimates) for Naval Ship acquisition programs; newbuilding projects and major modifications.
This position will be located at the CACI International office located at 305 Fellowship Road in Mt. Laurel, New Jersey. It is a Hybrid/Remote position that allows the option to work remote part-time (WFH) and on-site (which is to be determined by the manager).
Applicants with active Secret level security clearance preferred.
What You’ll Get to Do:
You'll work with a matrix competency organization serving across internal directorates and external clients on cost estimates for shipbuilding acquisition programs involving change orders, tradeoff studies and conversion programs.
You'll prepare detailed Independent Contractor Estimates in support of DoD, NAVSEA, Department of Homeland Security (DHS), US Coast Guard, and other Government agencies.
You'll work with Program Managers, Technical Lead Engineers and client contracts personnel to evaluate cost applications and details.
You'll develop Excel cost models for Operating and Sustainment (O&S) and acquisition estimates.
You'll provide analysis of Earned Value Management (EVM) data for large shipbuilding programs.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
5-10 years' experience developing production planning documents and estimates for work executed on US Navy, US Coast Guard, Army, or MSC Ships.
Active DoD Secret Security clearance.
Must have advanced MS Excel skills creating formulas and setting up custom sheets for customers. Modeling experience a plus.
Adept knowledge and understanding of the ship construction and estimating requirements, U.S. Navy surface ship construction and modernization planning processes.
Requires knowledge of Hull and Ship Systems with a well-rounded overall understanding of new shipbuilding, ship repair and modernization with trade disciplines required to support estimates and work item development.
Knowledge and familiarity with NAVSEA Standard Items, CAD plans is required.
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
AAS or Bachelor’s degree.
5 years’ experience providing direct US Navy or commercial shipbuilding support.
Experience as a ship-fitter, electrician, pipe-fitter, machinist or tradesman working on ships from new construction to conversion.
Estimator, Planner/ Estimator, Trade Level Journeyman work experience or equivalent desired.
Experienced with use of Microsoft Office software products.

The proposed salary range for this position is:
