Job Description
We are seeking a Sr. Field Service Engineer to serve as the liaison between the customer, engineering, and manufacturing groups. The successful candidate will be responsible for the timely installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of capital equipment tools. Additionally, this role includes customer and Field Service Engineer (FSE) training, actively engaging in feedback with engineering, and proposing continuous improvement ideas to enhance the customer experience. Staying updated with the latest technology and system changes is crucial to providing the best service experience possible.
ResponsibilitiesIndependently execute preventive and corrective maintenance at customer sites.Install and commission Integrated Wafer Processing tools, including laser systems, robot handling, pre and post wafer cleaning systems, and metrology systems.Achieve final acceptance and release of products and assemblies according to test and acceptance criteria.Prepare documents and reports detailing tasks performed for knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.Conduct site audits prior to installation to ensure they meet system requirements.Provide technical training and instruction to Field Service Engineers and customers.Timely troubleshoot and repair equipment at customer sites and provide telephone support as required.Process, document, invoice, and control work orders, customer orders, and service calls promptly.Collaborate with other departments to ensure continuous improvement of products by providing feedback on design or process improvements.Essential Skills8+ years of Field Service Engineer experience working on capital equipment.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to analyze complex technical issues.Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet service commitments.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience working with lasers, optical assemblies, servo systems, and robots is a plus.Experience in creating training and documentation materials.Engineering or Technical degree, or equivalent experience in a related field.Experience with NetSuite is a plus.Work Environment
This role involves working in a FAB on customer sites, with on-the-job training provided at our headquarters in Beaverton, OR, and on customer sites. The position requires 90% travel to customer sites, with 10% at our Center of Excellence for training or instruction. We offer a range of benefits including bonus and profit sharing, unlimited PTO, medical coverage, HSA allowance of $300, travel per diem, and 401k.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $60.00/hr.
