What You’ll Be Doing
Reporting to the Director, CSO & TM Finance, this position is responsible for end to end finance support for Cyber & Third Party Risk and Corporate Security , including month end close, management reporting and forecasting/planning. Working with business partners and finance this individual will provide value-added financial analysis, advice, and guidance aimed at providing decision enablement to senior management. This includes highlighting potential issues/problems and recommending solutions, effectively supporting cost reductions and process improvements. In addition, this position will be responsible for consolidation of LEs of all CSO LOBS, Quarterly and monthly analysis for CSO, CSO top of house plan & actuals tracking as well as CTPR & Corp Security allocations. This positions will also provide support to Service Analytics Finance for business case preparation ensuring appropriate finance assumptions on funding, cost estimates and ongoing costs. This individual ensures that financial standards and CIBC policies are implemented and adhered to in terms of integrity, consistency, and accuracy.

How You’ll Succeed
Problem solving and analytical skills - You have the ability to acquire necessary information to provide value-added advisory services to internal business partners including analysis and recommendations of the operating results and other initiatives. Throughout these activities you will identify potential issues/problems and provide timely solutions.
Technical skills - Excellent Excel and Essbase skills including knowledge of CIBC financial systems (CMR/IPS). High degree of knowledge of financial/management accounting and reporting as well as forecasting and planning processes.
Communication skills - You can effectively articulate issues/recommendations via your analysis and assessment of financial results. You will maintain a close working relationship with your business partners in both Finance and Technology.
Who You Are
You can demonstrate experience in financial business support, forecasting and championing continuous improvement attitude. It’s an asset if you can provide decision support, collaboration and critical thinking.
You have a degree in a related field of study, along with 7-10 years’ experience in the management of financial operations including strategic business planning, forecasting and financial analysis
You’re a certified professional. You have current accreditation and good standing in an Accounting designation (CPA). It’s an asset if you have a CFA and/or MBA in Finance
You give meaning to data. You enjoy investigating complex problems, and making sense of information. You're confident in your ability to communicate detailed information in an impactful way.
You understand that success is in the details. You notice things that others don't. Your critical thinking skills help to inform your decision making.
