Summary:

 

The individual is responsible for preparing complex cost estimates and pricing data studies, reports, and analyses covering various aspects including budgets, forecasts, financial plans, governmental requirements, statistical reports, cash flow projections, and business forecasts. Additionally, they handle economic reports on subjects such as rate of return, depreciation, working capital requirements, investment opportunities, investment performance, and the effects of governmental regulations. Furthermore, they develop Earned Value (EV) baselines, associated planning and work authorization documentation, and generate EV reports with associated analyses.

 

Performs economic research and studies of rates of return, depreciation and investments. Analyzes profit-and-loss income statements and prepares reports and recommendations to management. Generates forecasts and analyzes trends in sales, finance and other areas of business. Researches economic progressions to assist the organization's financial planning. Creates financial models of "what if" scenarios for future business planning decisions in areas such as new product development, new marketing strategies, etc.

Major Position Responsibilities Conducts quantitative analyses of information affecting budgets, expenses, and other financial projects of public or private institutionsCollects and analyzes financial information for assigned accounts, products or product lines, or business units in order to track the organization's progress against financial goalsReports current or expected financial performance and creates financial models to guide decision makingAnalyzes cash flow, expenditures, revenue, depreciation, and investments to make recommendations for action and/or modifications regarding financial procedures, plans, and controlsAssists in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, or annual financial statements Basic Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Associates Degree OR Equivalent combination of relevent education and/or experience
5-7 years of relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Cost Estimating or related Finance degree
Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS)Knowledge of financial management principles, program planning, Earned Value (EV) reporting for government contracts, budgeting and practices

Possesses and applies a broad knowledge of concepts, principles, practices and procedures of specialization to the completion of difficult assignmentsStrong computer skills, administrative data control, scheduling and team interfaceStrong written, digital and verbal communication skills in both an individual and team environmentLooks for ways to improve and promote qualityMust be able to possess strong, planning, execution and multitasking skills and have demonstrated ability to reprioritize on the flyMust be able to manage quickly changing priorities while meeting deadlinesWorks within the highest level of integrity, ethics and safetyOperates under minimal direction and exercises moderate to independent judgmentDecisions are guided by policy, procedures and business plan

Other Requirements:
