JOB DESCRIPTION:

Position Summary:

The Senior Financial Analyst is a key member of the Franchise Segmentation of FP&A and will work closely with Franchisees, brand presidents, and all team members of FP&A. The Sr. Financial Analyst will report to the Sr. Manager, FP&A, he/she will be responsible for generating forecasts, reviewing P&L statements, and making an impact to the organization.

Responsibilities:

Analyzes profit-and-loss income statements and prepares reports and recommendations to management Generates forecasts and analyzes trends in sales, finance and other areas of business Prepare, review and analyze operating budgets and strategic plansResearch economic progressions to assist the organization's financial planningProvide in-depth analysis on financial performance and root cause variances to forecastsMonitor performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected varianceCreates financial models of "what if" scenarios for future business planning decisions in areas such as new product development, new marketing strategies, etc. KSAs: A seasoned experienced professional with a full understanding of area of specialization resolving a wide range of issues in creative waysFully qualified, career-oriented, journey-level positionBroad application of principles, theories and concepts in applicable discipline, plus working knowledge of other related fieldsProvides resolution to a diverse scope and range of complex problems where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factorsDemonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutionsNormally receives little instruction on day-to-day work, general instructions on new assignmentsDetermines and develops approach to solutionsWork is evaluated upon completion to ensure objectives have been met. Contributes to the development of organization’s goals and objectivesFrequent intra-organizational and with outside customer contactsRepresents the organization on projects and may perform in project leadership role and/or may supervise the activities of lower-level personnel (exempt professional and non-exempt). Networks with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise.

Qualifications:

University Degree /Diploma and 4-6 years. May have Master’s / Graduate Degree and 2-4 years. Doctorate’s /Post-Graduate Degree and 0-2 years3+ years of progressive finance experienceAdvanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skillsComfortable analyzing large data sets via lookups, pivot tables, etc.Articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skillsHighest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organizedStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to handle multiple priorities against multiple deadlinesExperienced in analyzing and improving reporting processesAble to work well with people across multiple functionsAbility to communicate/present to senior level managers
