How You Will Make Contributions That Matter
Monitor completion of physical monthly inventory counts as per Inventory Control Policy. Weekly site-specific updates on inventory adjustments, cost of adjustments vs establish goals, and percentage of count completion.Manage the root cause analysis and corrective action activities related to inventory discrepancies. Review and assess for need to make procedural changes.Manage monthly reporting on inventory accuracy initiatives. Review inventory accuracy trends and provide recommendation on improvements.Review and analyze customer complaints, returns, refusals, OS&Ds, and other distribution related data; research as needed and provide recommendation for improvement.Lead annual budget preparation and monthly forecasting. Review P&L/Cost Center and actual/plan/variance spent to ensure proper GL/CC coding of expenses. Maintain exception log; detailed explanations related to variances and/or budget misses, to be used for fiscal period reviews and future budget assumptions.Conduct detailed budget reviews with onsite staff, identifying trends, drivers, and opportunities for improvement.Prepare expense accruals and monitor unpaid invoices. Oversee plant’s Accounts Payable Department to resolve issues with AP systems, locating missed invoices, and making sure that all vendors are adhering to our AP expectations. Act as intermediator between corporate AP and plant.Monitor invoice processing and approval process, including routing of invoices to proper approvers. Escalate approval requests as needed to stay on track with all expenses related to warehouse operations (material handling equipment lease payments and maintenance services, refrigeration services, warehouse gear and PPE, packaging material/temperature recorders/CHEP, purchased orders, facility maintenance and grounds services, etc.)Oversee training and development of on-site staff as it relates to financials and tools/resources available along with corporate reporting.Support the DC Manager in development of warehouse/supply chain financial KPIs and regular reporting of results. Analyze KPIs and report insight, including cost as related to performance.Collaborate with supply chain functions (Demand Planning, Product Supply, Transportation, Customer Logistics, Internal Warehouse, Operations) to deliver warehouse and company-wide objectives.Maintain a high degree of knowledge/understanding of warehouse management systems, business processes, and BI, including other relevant reporting tools.Lead and manage special projects, as assigned by the DC Manager.You Are Best Suited for The Role If You Have the Following Experience, Skills, and Qualifications...
