Sr. Financial Analyst
Job Description A manufacturing company is looking for a Sr. Financial Analyst to join their team. This hands-on role will involve managing intercompany transactions and ensuring accurate reporting to corporate, handling accounts receivable (AR) collections, posting cash, and maintaining financial visibility. The candidate will work closely with customers to resolve payment discrepancies, issue credits, and ensure accurate billing. Additionally, they will provide financial reports to department managers, offering insights into forecasting and key financial metrics, and assist with the reconciliation of balance sheet accounts as part of the month-end close process. The role will also support cost accounting functions, including budgeting and expense tracking, and assist the controller with the financial close process and balance sheet reconciliations. Advanced Excel skills, including macros and data manipulation, will be used to analyze financial data extracted from the ERP system. Skills and Requirements Bachelors Degree in Accounting or related field 2+ years of experience in manufacturing 5-10 years of general accounting experience, with a strong understanding of accounting principles (debits/credits, balance sheet, cash flow). Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable experience and proven ability to manage collections and cash posting. Month-End Close Experience: Ability to work under tight deadlines and contribute significantly to the month-end close process. Leadership Potential: This role is designed for someone looking to take on more responsibility, with the potential to grow into a controller position within 1-2 years. Excel Proficiency: Advanced skills in Excel, including macros, pivot tables, and data filtering. Strong Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. Attention to Detail: Must be highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work with complex data to resolve financial discrepancies.
