The UHealth system at the University of Miami has an exciting opportunity for a full time Senior Financial Analyst in the UHealth Finance Department. SUMMARYThe Senior Financial Analyst supports the business planning process of the organization by collecting, monitoring, and analyzing data, and developing projections, reports, and presentations to assist senior managing staff in their business planning decision-making process. Moreover, the incumbent establishes and enforces policies and procedures that further department’s goals and objectives. + Works with departments/leadership to develop business plans including market research, market assessments and projections, physician needs assessments, and financial projections. + Identifies market trends and developments and presents findings to management. + Develops market share reports and assessment and monitors trends. + Develops physician referral reports and monitors trends. + Be proficient with strategic planning tools (e.g., healthcare strategic planning platforms, physician referral platforms) and internal analytic tools. + Supports departments to fulfil strategic plan objectives. + Supports departments to develop analysis to support business decisions. + Trains and oversees junior staff members to ensure accuracy and efficiency in end work product. Assists in the development and organization of department and project budgets. + Acts as liaison to other departments, vendors, and other external parties to complete assignments. Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets. CORE QUALIFICATIONS Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field Experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant experience Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes: + Skill in collecting, organizing, and analyzing data. + Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems. + Ability to exercise sound judgment in making critical decisions. + Ability to present and discuss findings with management.
