About the Role

Workday is looking for an experienced professional to join the team as a Senior Financial Variable Compensation Analyst. You will be a part of a growing Sales Finance IT team as we support both the Sales and Customer Experience (CX) compensation side of Workday’s business. We’re looking for someone with strong business partnering skills, who is a self-starter, a great communicator and who enjoys collaborating with people with a diverse set of talents, in a dynamic fast-paced environment. 

Responsibilities:

Act as a hands-on, subject matter expert in the effective design and solutioning of logic that is to be applied within our Xactly platform.

Responsible for troubleshooting and resolving existing items and providing a level of effort to resolve future enhancements.

Responsible for supporting all change management related duties to development work being deployed across environments.

Recognizes patterns across commission-related inquiries to drive enhancement and updates in Xactly to improve data accuracy and user experience.

Design, configure and test system changes identified by both the sales design and compensation team.

Utilize advanced excel skills to model code that will drive project results.

Demonstrates the ability to learn about tools and systems to build on existing knowledge.

Highly detail driven with an emphasis on completeness and accuracy.

Develop and maintain existing reports used to advise business partners in Sales, Strategy, and Finance.

Identify and escalate system and process gaps that require additional review or management support.

Ability to see the bigger picture and solution for the root cause.

Perform other ad hoc tasks as needed. 

About You

Basic Qualifications:

7+ years of experience in variable compensation administration.

Demonstrated ability to retrieve and manipulate large and complex data sets from internal systems.

3+ years’ experience using Salesforce.

2+ years’ experience using Snowflake.

2+ years’ experience SQL or Python scripting.

Experience performing all elements within the SDLC life cycle.

Other Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or other Business-related field preferred.

Previous experience with ICM tools Xactly (Incent, Connect, and Analytics) and Varicent (Composer, Presenter Adaptive, Scheduler, Saved Imports).

Software and/or internet industry experience is a plus.

Xactly and Varicent commission system experience is desired.

Ability to manage processes globally, managing multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to strict deadlines.

Advanced Excel skills (proficient in building models and tools).

Strong communication and customer satisfaction skills, ability to drive initiatives and projects with management.

Ability to adapt to the rapid business and organizational changes that accompany a high-growth environment.
