Sr. Foreign Exchange (FX) Payments Risk Analyst

The first line Risk team within Commercial Bank is responsible for the governance and tactical execution of owning and managing risk, optimizing risk and return, and enabling sound growth with speed for the business. As part of this team, the Risk Analyst has responsibility for identifying and developing frameworks, implementing appropriately within the line of business, and maintaining oversight and reporting as required. This also includes understanding regulatory impacts, industry perspective and Key’s own risk policies. The role requires an individual who demonstrates the ability to influence others, build meaningful relationships across the organization, act with a sense of urgency, and has solid communication skills.

The Sr. FX Risk Analyst is a position that supports the Enterprise Payments – Foreign Exchange (FX) business. They will lead negotiations on documentation related to the FX business as well as provide consultative regulatory advice to the LOB, while handling compliance/ risk associated projects and requests. 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Primary job functions include:

Basic understanding of Foreign Exchange products including spot, forwards, and optionsProvide legal and compliance support for FX line of business.Negotiate and review ISDA master agreements, CSAs, loan documentation, and related regulatory documentation.Familiarity with Dodd-Frank regulations, ISDA documentation and protocols, NFA and CFTC.Partner cross-collaboratively to drive outcomes and manage risk end-to-end.Support active management of risk disciplines including credit, operational and AML/ compliance risk management  across product and/or client portfolioSupport development of a sound culture of managing risk throughout business by developing and enhancing training to support enterprise risk awareness, and the client escalation and resolution processes as requiredPartner with internal and external partners to incorporate learnings from across the bank and the industry to calibrate our FX and payments risk strategies and capabilitiesLeverage peers to build understanding of risk framework throughout Commercial Bank

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business/ Accounting, Legal Studies, LawMinimum 2 or more years of regulatory, compliance, operational risk or legal experience in swap related industry.Ability to synthesize, create and clearly communicate complex topics in PowerPointExperience in Excel with an ability to manage large data sets, creating summary views using pivots tables, data graphs/visualizationsA high degree of adaptability, energy and intellectual curiosityStrong organization skills and ability to manage multiple high-level projects and competing priorities with little supervision.Strong client facing communication skills with a focus on building collaborative relationships and the ability to promote inclusion of diverse knowledge, skills and experiences to achieve results. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with a proven ability to effectively partner with peers and senior management in driving change.Demonstrated horizontal collaboration across multiple stakeholders with internal partners including sales, product, legal, compliance, and other internal and external partners An ability to champion change, influence others, and foster teamwork

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Law degree from an accredited law school in the United StatesKnowledge of the FX Global Code of Conduct

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $75,000 to $95,000 annually depending on location and job-related factors such as level of experience. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for short-term incentive compensation and deferred incentive compensation subject to individual and company performance.
