Sr. Front End Developer

Our Digital team custom builds Key’s Consumer Online Banking and Mobile Banking apps. We bring the concept of Financial Wellness and Money Management to more than 3 million people across the country and from all walks of life.

On our team, you will have the following responsibilities:

Responsible for Support Coverage for 24x7 365 calendar ensuring proper protocol in resource alignment to monitor dashboards, system logs, alerts, runbooks and escalation proceduresSecurity certificate management including Tracking and orchestrating change / implementation and validationDrive to restore and ultimately find root cause for critical incident scenarios that directly or indirectly impact online and mobile banking capabilitiesAssume responsibility for our design system component ecosystem. These components are developed at a platform level and used across applicationsGuide engineering efforts within the design system and manage the release process across our wider Digital team. Our team is organized into Tribes, with ‘squads’ that have 3-5 engineers on eachBe an engaged member of our Platform Team. Develop UI standards, offer technical expertise, mentor others and conduct code and design reviews

Other Responsibilities:

Participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle. This includes estimating, technical design, implementation, documentation, testing and deployment.Work with product managers, designers, solution architects, technical leads and developers.Interpret wireframes and creative designs into functional requirementsEmbrace the established standards and best practices in useContribute ideas to keep our technology moving forward.Collaborate and communicate effectively and efficiently with othersReport status and work progress to scrum masters and technical leads as requestedAssist/Mentor other developersAdapt and work with team members of various experience levels

Necessary Skills & Knowledge

Bachelor’s degree in Computer/Information Science, Information Systems Management or equivalent work experienceStrong understanding of Web Standards and HTML semanticsExpert CSS knowledgeExperience with BEM or other modular CSS methodologyExperience with CSS preprocessors (e.g. Sass or Less)Advanced JavaScript knowledgeExperience using Angular (or other framework) in a corporate environment, not including schoolExperience creating and using reusable UI componentsExperience writing unit tests and utilizing automated testingAdvanced knowledge of WCAG 2.0Familiar with Design and UX guidelinesEmpathy and good verbal, written and listening skills

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $79,000 to $146,000 annually depending on location and job-related factors such as level of experience. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for short-term incentive compensation and deferred incentive compensation subject to individual and company performance.
