Amazon Security is looking for a Senior Software Development Engineer who is passionate about building scaled software supporting the high-tempo needs of security operations at Amazon. Our team's mission is to build the best worldwide end-to-end security event and response solution for security operation teams.

Our systems/products are critical path and used by security engineers daily in their quest to defend Amazon and its customers against internal and external threats.

Key job responsibilities
- Lead front-end architecture design for security applications, ensuring reliability, scalability, and security.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build intuitive user experiences for security engineers, investigate approaches, prototype new technology and evaluate technical feasibility of ideas.
- You will be customer obsessed about user experience and design responsive, accessible web-based user interfaces
- Mentor junior engineers, contribute to code reviews, and help foster a culture of innovation and engineering excellence.
- You will ship software in a fast-paced environment and collaborate on new approaches to building and serving Amazon’s security.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices, continually improving processes and technologies used in front-end development.
- Participate in the end-to-end deployment lifecycle of features, from ideation to monitoring performance in production environments.



A day in the life
As a Senior Front-End Engineer on this team, you will work closely with product managers, UX designers, and back-end engineers to create seamless, performant, and scalable front-end solutions that empower security engineers to efficiently do more. You will design and develop user interfaces within the Vigilance product and contribute to shaping new features that enhance the overall experience.
