Sr. Front End Engineer (React)

We are seeking an experienced Senior Front End Engineer with strong technical skills and leadership capabilities to guide our team. The ideal candidate will navigate complex applications, enhance user experiences through performance optimization, and build scalable codebases. Familiarity with modern tools and practices is essential, along with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

· Lead the development of dynamic, responsive front-end applications using React and Next.js.

· Optimize application performance and enhance user experiences through advanced techniques.

· Establish reference front-end architectures and best practices

· Function as a thought leader within the organization for front-end development practices and tools

· Serve as an expert resource within the team for front-end technologies such as React

· Mentor junior developers, conduct code reviews, and establish coding standards within the team.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and deliver high-quality software solutions.

· Ensure the maintainability of the codebase by implementing best practices in UI architecture and component design.

Required Skills:

· React (Deep Internals Knowledge):

Understanding of React’s lifecycle methods, hooks, and context API.

Familiarity with performance optimization techniques, such as memoization and lazy loading.

Experience with React's reconciliation algorithm and virtual DOM.

· Next.js:

Proficient in building server-side rendered (SSR) applications and static sites.

Knowledge of routing, API routes, and data fetching methods (getStaticProps, getServerSideProps).

Experience with Next.js features like Image Optimization and Incremental Static Regeneration (ISR).

· TypeScript:

Strong grasp of TypeScript features, including interfaces, generics, and advanced types.

Experience in type-checking React components and integrating TypeScript with existing JavaScript codebases.

· Component Libraries:

Ability to create and maintain reusable, modular components.

Experience with UI libraries (e.g., Material-UI, Ant Design) and building custom design systems.

· Storybook:

Proficient in using Storybook for developing and documenting components in isolation.

Experience integrating Storybook into CI/CD workflows for automated testing and documentation.

Preferred Skills:

· Team Lead Experience:

Proven track record of leading teams, mentoring junior developers, and fostering collaboration.

Experience in conducting code reviews and setting coding standards.

· Full Stack Experience:

Familiarity with back-end technologies (e.g., Node.js, Express) and databases (e.g., DynamoDB, MongoDB, PostgreSQL).

Understanding of API development and integration, particularly REST and GraphQL.

· Content Management Systems (CMS) & Headless CMS:

Experience with traditional and headless CMS solutions (e.g., Contentful, Sanity).

Understanding of how to integrate CMS with front-end applications for dynamic content delivery.

· Radix/React Aria (Headless React Components):

Experience using Radix UI or similar libraries for building accessible, unstyled components.

Familiarity with accessibility best practices and ARIA roles.

· UI Architecture Experience:

Knowledge of design patterns and best practices for structuring front-end applications.

Experience in establishing scalable UI architecture to accommodate growth and maintainability

**This position can be remote and may require occasional travel to our Lincolnshire, IL offices.**

General Compensation Disclosure:

The pay range for this role considers several factors in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Camping World, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the factors stated. A reasonable estimate of the current range is listed below.

Pay Range:

$124,900.00-$187,300.00 Annual
