The Senior Golang Software Engineer will support the Locations & Geospatial development team within Kroger Technology & Digital Customer Ecommerce Pre-Order department.  This Engineer will be responsible for either the Address (validation) or Location service used to validate end consumer and other addresses and return Kroger locations (store, fulfillment center, gas stations, etc) to consuming applications including Kroger’s ecommerce site.  As a member of a development squad of ~10 engineers, the engineer will work using Agile Scrum methods to implement feature enhancements, identify and fix defects, and maintain the location and geospatial products for the company.

Responsible for participating in the design, development, testing, debugging, maintaining, and documenting software components in accordance to Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) best practices. Establish estimates and work plans for design, development, implementation, and rollout tasks. Communicate with the appropriate teams to ensure that assignments are delivered with the highest of quality and in accordance to standards.
