Sr. Grant Administrator
Job Title: Senior Grant Administrator Job Description The Grant Administrator will be responsible for the pre and post award management of a portfolio of grants. This role involves working directly with Principal Investigators and the Administrative Director for Research in the submission of grant applications. The Administrator will develop and monitor all financial aspects of complex awards, many with international subcontracts, ranging between $5 - $10 million. Primary duties include compliance, budget oversight and maintenance, subcontract management, reports to sponsors, and daily administrative and operational requirements of assigned contracts/grants. Responsibilities + Establish administrative and financial structures for all assigned grants/contracts according to the operating requirements of sponsors and administrative guidelines. + Monitor all assigned monthly financial reports to ensure accuracy and budget integrity. Work with Principal Investigators to identify variations, trends, and issues in a timely fashion and provide an accurate forecast for future expenditures. + Monitor all grants and contracts for compliance issues. + Work with the IRB on all applicable human and animal protocols, consents, and related compliance issues including subject reimbursement. + Collaborate closely with research finance administration and staff on assigned grants and contracts; attend monthly RADG meetings; keep current with federal (NIH in particular), state, and other requirements, timelines, and policy issues. + Contribute to the updating and maintenance of a centralized electronic grants management and archiving system. + Develop annual budgets in consultation with the Principal Investigator and Administrative Director for the duration of the grant/contract. Perform activities related to closing out the current budget year and initiating the new budget year. + Verify that funds are available for all equipment, personnel, and major purchases. Ensure compliance with federal purchase and contract requirements. Essential Skills + 3-5 years of experience in research administration with an emphasis on pre and post award management. + Working knowledge of NIH and other federal, state, and foundation regulations and requirements. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Access, and Internet applications. + Ability to maintain extensive electronic document and email files. + Organized and flexible in an environment that requires continuous monitoring of priorities. + Exceptional attention to detail and confidentiality. + Highly goal-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work independently as well as in coordination with the team. + Excellent communication skills across multiple levels of the organization. + Strong analytical skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications + BS/BA degree. + Working knowledge of MicroStrategy, PeopleSoft, and Workday is desirable but not required. Work Environment This is a remote position; however, candidates must be able to come onsite four times a year. Candidates should be located in NH, MA, CT, or RI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $100000.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
