Sr. Hardware Development Engineer
The Last Mile Technology team owns creating solutions to get packages from delivery stations into the customer's hands. You will develop and lead new innovations for customers of our globally connected fleet lockers and vehicles. We combine cutting-edge IoT technologies (sensors, embedded devices, wearables, and robotics), real-time data streams (video, vehicle telematics, location, and presence), combined with machine learning models and algorithms to create solutions that allow us to deliver faster, more reliably, and better than ever before.

As a Sr. Hardware Development Engineer (HDE III) in the Last Mile Delivery Technology Hardware team, you will build innovative embedded solutions for our WW Fleet of vehicles and lockers. You will work closely with our fleet management team and industry leading OEMs to deliver hardware solutions for our fleet of lockers and vehicles, contribute to the design of solutions for future devices, and create enhanced solutions for our customers without compromising on safety. The candidate will be responsible for end-to-end hardware development from initial proof of concept to production device. They will develop new test strategies, implement and optimize test setup/processes at the JDM/ODM including architecture, specification, design and qualification of test fixtures, and implement equipment and diagnostics to enhance production efficiency. The candidate should be a strong and effective communicator that is independent and highly motivated.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- BA/BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience
- 7+ years of hardware development experience
- Extensive experience in computer architecture and embedded compute and wireless systems
- Extensive electrical PCB schematic capture, layout, and rapid prototyping experience
- Extensive experience with mechanical CAD and simulations tools for designing robust enclosures, thermal solutions, and mechatronics
- Experience with writing low-level firmware for bring-up test and validation
- Extensive experience troubleshooting/debugging with hardware

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- Experience with Altium or Cadance for ECAD
- Experience with Solid Works, Catia, Creo, or NX for MCAD
- Experience with signal integrity and power integrity analysis
- Experience with large production manufacturing and rollout of hardware devices
- Experience with development and testing of extended runtime battery powered products
- Experience with development tools like IAR/Keil, JTAG debugging, and the Git version control system
- Experience with common communication bus protocols such as CAN-BUS, SPI, I2C, and UART
- Comfortable in a least one scripting language
- Experience with system bring-up, manufacturing end-of-line testing
- Experience in Python for analyzing sensor data
