Sr. Health Care Analyst, Remote

The Senior Healthcare Analyst will play a key role in driving Aledade’s financial and strategic initiatives. By conducting in-depth analytics and research, the analyst will support the company’s forecasting and risk management processes. Working closely with actuaries, this role will leverage a variety of healthcare data—such as claims, premiums, membership, and risk scores—drawn from sources like health plans, public datasets, and CMS.
The analyst will become a subject matter expert in the financial structure and methodologies behind value-based contracting and will use insights to inform key business strategies. Collaboration across teams will be essential, as the analyst contributes to data-driven decision-making that shapes Aledade’s approach to healthcare innovation and performance.
We are flexible with respect to geographic location, and the ideal candidate will be comfortable working remotely/work from home within the US or be based from our Bethesda, MD office.
Primary Duties:Understand the problem space:Work with teams across Aledade to understand and clarify questions and issues for data analysis.Design and execute analysis:Under the direction of actuaries, design the analysis to answer key business questions.Develop program code to integrate, evaluate, and analyze diverse data sources.Perform data analysis and statistical modeling under the direction of actuaries to generate actionable insights and solutions.Assist in translating and communicating analysis results:Work across teams at Aledade to synthesize results, identify implications of analysis results and translate findings into action. Work closely with the Performance Team and Finance Team to generate and bring analytic results to leadership.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree with 4-6 years of relevant experienceExperience with SQL for data manipulation and R, Python, or Stata for statistical programmingExperience with health care data sources such as medical or pharmacy claims, membership, and risk scores Preferred KSA's:Bachelor’s degree in statistics, mathematics or computer scienceExcellent quantitative analysis abilities, grounded in econometrics, health services research, epidemiology, statistics, or related fieldDemonstrated ability to conduct nuanced analyses to produce accurate and unbiased results and tell the story of those results in data visualizations, presentations, and reports.Attention to detail, quality assurance, documentation, and building repeatable processesAbility to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage competing deadlines and priorities.Values people with differing backgrounds and perspectives; supports effective interpersonal and intercultural engagementWell-versed in Equity and Inclusion language, concepts, and principles (i.e. health disparities, social drivers of health, implicit bias) and able to communicate and explain them to larger audiencesCommitted to serving teammates and patients with empathy and respectAbility to manage research projects through the entire life cycle, from design through implementation, documentation, and presentation of findingsThinks beyond their immediate team and contributes to making Aledade holistically better (active engagement in employee resource groups, DE&I initiatives, book/journal clubs, facilitating training, leading roundtables, etc.)Knowledge of standard methods for measuring health care utilization, spending, quality, and related outcomes
