Job Description Summary

Position Objective:

The Sr. HR Business Partner is a strategic partner and advisor to the leadership team and will align business objectives with team members to deliver company goals.  This role is a strategic partner to the business on workforce planning, retention and engagement, succession planning and talent development.

Position Responsibilities:

Develops and executes HR strategies to engage, retain, motivate and develop talentEnsures alignment between the operations and the HR team and practicesContinuously assesses organization and industry trends and makes recommendations to develop and execute on better ways to engage and retain team membersLeverages workforce insights and analytics in order to focus on relevant issues while assessing potential strategies and solutions to support a rapidly growing and changing business.Identifies talent strengths and needs through ongoing assessment of business needsPartners with Talent Management to translate business priorities into talent management outcomes while designing approaches to help business leaders make decisions on talent and assess impact of the decisionsPartner with leaders to identify high-potential talent and create career development plans that align with succession planning.Support the development of talent review processes and facilitate talent calibration sessions to ensure effective talent developmentPartner with leaders to assess and address organizational design and development needsAssists in building strategic talent plans aligned with organizational strategy and data (e.g., attrition rates, hiring trends)Collaborates with COEs to understand the market competitiveness of the organization’s programs and makes recommendations to improve engagement and retentionSeek out learning opportunities and new ways to partner with the business.Translates business strategies into people and organizational priorities; leads the discussion with the business leadership teams in applying and aligning people and organizational priorities with organization vision and executionServe as escalation point on employee issues, disputes and grievancesOther duties as assigned

Requirements:

Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or a related field or equivalent work experience plus 8 years of direct, strategic HR experienceMasters Degree preferredAbility to understand Sunbelt Rentals’ culture and leverage that as a positive means of achieving objectivesAbility to work independently and effectively prioritize work and manage deadlinesAbility to multitask successfullyStrong follow-through skills and ability to resolve issues in a fast-paced environmentExcellent verbal and written communication skills, organizational and planning skills, including the demonstrated ability to problem solveStrong Excel and analytical skillsMaintain highly confidential employee information and files

Physical Demands:

Must be able to bend, squat, crouch and/or reach and lift up to 25 pounds or more, as required by the job.  Some Sunbelt jobs may require driving for long periods of time, loading and unloading heavy equipment, performing work in extreme weather conditions including rain, wind or excessive temperatures and/or night and weekend work.  All duties must be performed according to Sunbelt’s safety policies and guidelines.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to comply with ADA/ADAAA.

Base Pay Range: $98,426.00 - 135,336.30
