Sr. HR Generalist

Job Description

The Human Resources Senior Generalist will effectively manage the day-to-day duties of the Human Resources function at our manufacturing facilities in Hendersonville, NC, Robinson, IL, and Chicago, IL. As a member of the local management team, you will be a business partner helping design, drive, and implement various HR and operational initiatives across all sites.

ResponsibilitiesProvide mentorship through planning, organizing, and implementing activities in support of plant operations.Serve as a functional resource for employees, ensuring their understanding and compliance with benefits, HR policies, and regulations.Partner with Global Business Services (GBS) to ensure all HR-related activities are executed according to our processes and procedures.Drive and support all employee engagement action planning execution and retention initiatives for Hendersonville, Robinson, and Chicago manufacturing sites.Ensure employee HRIS and filing systems are maintained.Manage the timecard and paid time off approval process.Administer leave of absence programs, including FMLA.Perform recruitment and staffing activities for both exempt and non-exempt staff, including managing postings, evaluating applicants, and conducting pre-employment screening.Support various audit processes.Perform special projects as needed, such as implementing policies and procedures, training in various programs, and driving employee engagement and safety committees.Handle agency, HR, and office management expenses invoicing, coding, and approving.Sponsor and partner with the ES&H manager to lead safety programs.Ensure successful roll-out and completion of performance management processes, including educating employees and managers on goal setting, individual development plans, and mid-year and year-end reviews.Educate employees on health and wellness policies.Partner directly with local leadership to resolve employee issues and work with managers to improve engagement, retention, and performance.Identify and implement training solutions for all departments within the facility.Lead investigations and provide mentorship to managers and supervisors on disciplinary recommendations.Utilize results from engagement surveys to build action plans and increase internal employee happiness.Support managers in providing continuous performance feedback to employees.Lead employee relation efforts, liaising with the Site Operations Manager to create and implement local and business-aligned initiatives that promote effective employee and management relations.Participate in the development and implementation of the plant’s goals and objectives.Qualifications:5-7 years of HR experience supporting multi-site locations.HRIS experience.Proficiency in Federal and State level employment laws (specifically IL & NC).Experience in manufacturing, warehouse, or distribution environments.Degree in a related field.Experience with ADP a is plusExperience with Success Factors is a plusSHRM certification is a plusAdditional Skills & QualificationsExperience in benefits administration.Knowledge of safety laws.Experience in employee engagement and relations.Administrative support experience.Work Environment

You need to be flexible with hours and coordinate standard working hours with the plant manager. The role involves supporting two production shifts and being the only HR person at the Chicago plant, supporting the Chicago, Robinson, and Hendersonville facilities. Travel is required once a quarter.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.87 - $45.65/hr.
