Caterpillar is looking to add a skilled Senior Human Resources Technology Partner to our Global HR Operations team. This role performs as the Workday Payroll Functional Analyst at Caterpillar, and you will play a key role in guiding the continued maintenance and support of the Workday America’s and UK Payroll functional areas. While the Workday Payroll Functional Analyst is an integral part of the Payroll COE, they are the quality assurance subject matter expert, ensuring we meet business requirements throughout the development process.  

What you will do: 

Testing Workday America’s and UK Payroll business processes to ensure the successful deployment of application enhancements and releases 

Working with other functional analysts to design and prototype cross-functional solutions 

Investigating and resolving Workday Payroll technology issues, unexpected results or process gaps  

Sharing enhancement and release knowledge with extended payroll team 

Participating as a member of the Workday Governance Council and supporting the development and management of the Workday roadmap to ensure alignment to Payroll’s strategy and key initiatives 

Mentor others on the latest updates in the Workday Payroll modules and their applicability in the organizational scenarios 

Evaluates and reports on the performance of various features in Workday Payroll modules 

 

What you will have: 

4-year degree in a business-related field  

2+ years of experience with Workday Payroll as an analyst or implementation partner or experience implementing or supporting Workday HCM applications 

The ability to understand Payroll strategic intent and develop solutions that align with the strategic direction  

Strong analytic and diagnostic skills as well as a data-driven solutioning approach  

The ability to influence and work effectively with business partners globally  

Success working within a large matrix organization across functions and with senior leaders in the organization 

Strong planning and organizational skills 

Ability to work under pressure on multiple projects with minimal supervision and within multiple time constraints. 

A process-oriented mindset and experience with process improvement methodologies 

Payroll, Absence and Time Tracking experience 

 

Additional information: 

The primary locations for this position are Peoria, Illinois and Dallas, Texas 

This position may require 5% travel

Summary Pay Range:

$110,520.00 - $165,840.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
