Sr. Human Resources Generalist

GENERAL DESCRIPTION / PRIMARY PURPOSE:

The senior human resources generalist is an integral part of the human resources team, 
responsible for aiding the director in creating and executing human resources policies and 
programs. The senior human resources generalist will support the operational aspects of the Human Resources function for Dole Fresh Fruit Company. 

This includes but not limited to administering performance appraisals, ensure 
compliance with labor laws, regulations, and ethical standards while assisting compensation, 
training and development, and other programs. Additionally, the senior resolve employee 
grievances, analyze report on human resources metrics, trends, and issues, provide guidance 
on best practices and/or lead human resources projects.

 

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS/DUTIES OF THE POSITION:

•  Provide input to the Director of HR on programs that drives positive employee 
experiences around opportunities to improve employee engagement.
• Support the division with complex employee relations issues and work with manager 
on resolutions.
• Perform detailed analysis of data around compensation, workforce planning, GTI 
reporting, Recruitment KPI Reporting, etc.
• Coordinate AAP quarterly and yearly reports as well as collaborate with government 
agencies on quarterly HR Audits.

 
• Manage Leave of Absence and Workers Compensation according to the organization 
policies and procedures.
• Ensure that mandatory internal training executed timely via working with the HR 
Corporate team.
• Collaborate with the Director of HR to determine short-term and long-term training, 
talent development and other pipeline to attract and retain employees.
• Facilitate the annual and mid-term performance evaluation communication and 
execute employees training, in collaboration with Latin America HR team.
• Perform data analysis and report preparation for annual budget period.
• Assist in the yearly merit process via preparing data for management guidance in 
creating merit proposals.
• Collaborate with the department Talent Acquisition Business Parter on strategy for 
internship and/other development programs for improvement and talent pipeline 
growth.
• Manage the Dole Community Training Platform via working with the Latin America
HR team and Marketing/Communications team to develop ongoing training.
• Maintain the policies and procedures platform to ensure the division follows internal 
changes and/or changes in employment law.
• Manage the onboarding and off-boarding strategy to ensure the best employee’s
experience as well as the department complies with exit protocol.
• Oversee all HRIS, Benefits, Leave of Absence, Workforce, BHS and ADP portals to 
ensure data integrity as well as implementing on-going employee training.
• Support the HR Director and President, as needed, with all other initiatives that drives
the organization effectiveness in the Dole Fresh Fruit Company operations.

WHAT FOR: Advice/ coordination of work, attend external and internal audits, Coordinate contracted services.
