Sr. Human Resources Manager
Job Description

Currently we are seeking a Senior HR Manager for our Van Wert, OH manufacturing facility. This is an impactful role for the organization requiring the ability to truly partner with business leaders supporting and driving tactical and critical initiatives. The Sr. HR Manager will translate business, regional and site strategy into HR strategy, plans and solutions. This role will partner with the site to hire, engage, and develop talent to build the capabilities required for short and long-term success.

 

This position will be based onsite daily to support facility operations. Relocation support for this position is available. Applicants must have experience driving HR activities in the US and have authorization to work in the US without support. 

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.

 

Advise supervisors and managers on application of Company policies to ensure consistency and accurate policy interpretation interdepartmentally.   Lead investigations with support division HR, partner with Compliance on investigations they lead.  Utilize data and insights to identify opportunities and make recommendations when appropriate. Support cultural transformation change  Guides the leadership team towards practices that lift employee engagement. Coach leaders towards best practice execution of people management responsibilities. And support talent assessment, performance management processes. Participate in Support recruitment efforts, help develop staffing and retention strategies Shifts the HR function from a position of reactive and "catch up" to proactive and practice leading. Foster employee well-being through engagement and leadership accountability.  Help employees to understand what their role is (facilitate onboarding process and support managers in their leadership task). Background & Skills

The ideal candidate possesses these skills.  

 

Bachelor’s Degree in relevant area of Business, Human Resources, or similar program is required.  Master’s degree is preferred.

 

5+ years of HR experience serving as an HR Manager within a manufacturing environment is required A minimum of 3 years leading and coaching HR professionals HR Certification (PHR/SPHR/SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP) strongly preferred Experience working with employees and business leaders in a global matrixed organization is highly preferred Prior experience with affirmative action plans and requirements at a federal government contractor is required Proven ability to develop, translate and execute strategic initiatives leading transformation processes Adaptable to the needs of people from different cultures  Experience working with a HR Service Center Strong communicator in building relationships and collaborating with key stakeholders Passionate about creating a dynamic and thriving working environment  Experience with union avoidance activities is a plus Travel expectation for this position is about 10% to support as needed to an additional site within Ohio.
