Responsibilities What You'll Do V2X is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineering & Automation Senior manager to lead teams of engineers, developers, and other skilled professionals as we continue to expand operations across the globe and implement, integrate, and automate modern technology platforms. The Infrastructure Engineering & Automation Senior manager oversees all aspects of system architecture, engineering, and integration. This leader manages and influences the strategy and effectiveness of V2X’s cloud and datacenter presences, SaaS/PaaS solutions, Identity & directory services, and networking technologies to meet diverse and ever-evolving business requirements. The senior manager provides day-to-day supervision and leadership to their team to accomplish goals, continuously deliver and integrate, and exceed business objectives. This role collaboratively develops and executes IT strategic objectives, collaborates with business partners to enhance the value and effectiveness of large-scale infrastructure and optimization initiatives, and establishes and maintains relationships within key stakeholders and peers across the organization to identify opportunities to succeed. The ideal candidate has a strong experience as a senior manager has the vision and desire to deliver innovative technologies and methodologies (Immutable Infrastructure, Zero Trust, SDWAN, SASE, and others), is well tooled to lead change, and ready to take ownership of designing and enabling modern, secure enterprise infrastructure technologies. Key Responsibilities: Manages the day-to-day tasking, performance, and effectiveness of a diverse team of engineers, developers, and delivery professionals developing and deploying solutions and technologies including Identity and Access Management, Wide Area and Local Area Networking, Cloud-based on On-prem Infrastructure, Cybersecurity tools, and more. Plans and leads projects to enable new technologies or capabilities to support business requirements, enhance IT security, and improve organizational efficiencies. Leads the execution of data center modernization, cloud migration, cross-platform integration, network and other transformational engineering and automation activities Develops and manages budgetary and resource plans including vendor management, renewals, technical debt, and strategic sourcing to create and optimize value to the Company. Leads the development and growth of the team including hiring, training, coaching and evaluating team members. Provides work direction to technical staff and contract staff. Determines appropriate coverage for all hours of operation. Develops new capabilities, integrations, and automations to create highly agile, adaptable, and resilient orchestrated solutions to benefit end users and IT staff alike. Provides expert technical leadership and troubleshooting when called upon. Contributes to improving overall problem-solving efforts often and coordinating to ensure outside vendors and other support personnel and/or organizations are leveraged appropriately. Leads complex multi-system problem/root-cause scenarios and major modernization efforts. Automates and codifies policies, configurations, and methods for the provisioning and management of the host operating systems, software, devices, and services effectively operationalizing things like Infrastructure-as-code, Compliance-as-Code, Self-healing networks, Automated Testing/SRE, etc. Develops and delivers performance-based KPI’s to uphold high standards of the technology being deployed, as well as the processes and people delivering it. Provides exceptional communication and collaboration between Business Stakeholders, technical teams, and operational staff to ensure a consistent and effective Enterprise Architecture, Design/Engineering standards, and a robust backlog of qualified work products aligned to Strategic objectives. Develops procedures, programs and documentation to enhance and assist Operations and Support teams responsible for delivering and enabling technology to the Enterprise. Stays current with technological developments in systems design, technology and recommends ways to take advantage of new technology Develops and contributes to new and existing technology and business road maps Provides innovation and process improvement recommendations and oversees implementation Interfaces with, and contributes to overall success of other IT teams, including Service Desk, Administration/Operations, Cyber Security, Business Applications, and International Operations Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Education: One year related experience may be substituted for each year of education, if degree is required. Bachelor’s Degree in IT or related field. Certification/Licenses: ITIL certification / training beneficial Experience: Experience working in GovCon Experience working for a company with 5k+ employees 5-10 years of experience designing and engineering complex, enterprise infrastructure technologies and managing Enterprise vendors/supplier agreements. Experience as a senior manager or team leader for highly technical teams, overseeing multiple technology disciplines. Proven history managing large-scale automation and integration projects, with exposure to an assortment of automation and orchestration tools. Other Requirements: Travel is required 10-15% of the time Ability to obtain U.S. Secret Clearance U.S. Citizenship required Supervisory Responsibilities: Team of 5-10 system administrators/engineers Desired Qualifications: Certificates/Licenses: Microsoft, VMWare, or other industry certifications such as MCSE, MCITP, CCNP, Network+ and / or Security Certifications such as Security+ preferred. Experience: Enterprise Architecture and Agile experience desired, with experience building and developing Agile organizations preferred. 5+ designing, integrating and delivering cloud-based, software-defined solutions over diverse network transport technologies. Azure, ServiceNow, and VMWare experience preferred. Skills & Technology Used: Demonstrated expertise in three or more of the following technologies: Virtualization (VMWare, Hyper-V) NetApp SAN Storage Backup systems (CommVault, Azure Backup, Azure Site Recovery) PowerShell Scripting WAN optimization / acceleration Network load balancers Cloud (PaaS, SaaS) Engineering and Virtualization (VMWare, Hyper-V) System Monitoring and Orchestration/Automation tools Identity & Access Management (Certificates, Service Tokenization, and Entra) Scripting Languages (Powershell, JSON, YAML, etc.) Security Engineering and DevSecOps technologies (SAST/DAST, Continuous Monitoring, Security Automation) Proficient in the use of computers and computer software programs such as Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be based on, but not limited to, their job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The following salary range is intended to display the value of the company’s base pay compensation and may be modified at the discretion of the company. USD $ 140,000-205,000 Provided salary range minimum and maximum values correspond to variances between regional/geographic locations across the United States.
