Description
Our client is looking for a Sr. Internal Auditor located in California.
Responsibilities
· Perform audits and draft clear audit reports and present findings
+ Provide advisory services to improve the efficiency of internal processes tailored to the software industry’s fast -paced, high iteration environment
· Evaluate risks associated with software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, DevOps), project timelines, resource management, and costs.
+ Evaluate risks in vendor relationships, ensuring contractual obligations are met and deliverables align with agreed-upon specifications.
· Analyze contractual obligations for outsourced or in-house development to mitigate financial and operational risks.
· Verify budget adherence, identify scope creep, and flag overruns in spending while ensuring accurate revenue recognition under standards like ASC 606.
· Review IT controls to ensure the integrity, availability, and security of data stored in the cloud.
+ Collaborate closely with key technology and DevOps teams to understand development pipelines, deployment processes, and production controls.
Requirements
Qualifications:
+ Experience performing risk-based audits for operational audits
+ Advanced knowledge of auditing principles (COSO, GAAS or IIA Standards)
· 5+ years experience in Public Accounting, Operations Process Improvement, Internal Audit, or a related field with a large, global public company
+ Strong communication skills for drafting clear audit reports and presenting findings
+ Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
+ Knowledge of Workday platform
+ CIA or CPA professional certification highly preferred
