Sr. Inventory Planner (Hybrid)
Job DescriptionHybrid Work Arrangement requiring 4 days a week in office at our Raleigh HQ.

 

Do you love working with numbers, data and reports? We are seeking the best Planners for our Inventory Management organization. 

 

Summary of Role:

The Sr. Inventory Planner provides analysis, executes processes, and utilizes business tools and metrics to ensure that the correct product is in the correct DCs and in the right  quantities. They work closely with the SCR and S&OP team to ensure connectivity between the Supply Chain plan and the inventory plan. The Sr. Inventory Planner teams with other members of the IOM to drive business strategies.

 

Requirements:

 

Education – Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or Mathematics

 

Previous experience – 2+ years business experience (Inventory, Merchandising, Merchandise Planning, or Retail experience preferred)

 

Other requirements – PC and Microsoft Office

Analytical and problem solving skillsStrong attention to detail, planning, and organizational skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work independently and with a high level of energy and initiative

 

Inventory Planning & Analysis – Develop and manage DC/SKU level plans by utilizing tools and procedures within the replenishment system. Utilize the replenishment systems planning functionality to maximize product flow to achieve objectives. Performs SKU/DC level inventory analysis. Provide ad event analysis and recommendations. Provide defined and ad hoc business analysis and make recommendations based on findings. Analyze excess inventory; create and monitor action plans to minimize inventory liability.

 

Inventory Procurement & Vendor Mgmt.– Manage to the OTB and proactively communicate where there are opportunities. Seek ways to maximize replenishment dollars while supporting sales opportunities. Perform lead-time forecasting analysis and manage receipt flow in alignment with company objectives. Develop and support supplier relationships through on going  interactions.

 

Purchase Order Maintenance – Accountable for the management of all open purchase orders. Tracks open POs to ensure on-time delivery at the DC. Prioritizes inbound POs to improve DC and Store inventory position. Closes aged purchase orders.

 

Communication/Collaboration- Is an active member of the IOM. Works cross functionally with merchandising, merchandise planning, visual, supply chain and other key areas. The Supply  Planner participates in the CPFR (Collaborative Planning, Forecast and Replenishment) meetings with the vendors. Collaborates with the store and demand planner to drive business specific outcomes through inventory planning. Proactively communicates issues and recommends solutions. Develops and presents business updates that are tailored to the audience receiving them.

 

Life cycle Management – Execute SKU level life cycle and transition strategies. Oversee the Store planner inventory balancing functions.

 

Continuous Learning – Eagerly learns new skills and capabilities to improve upon performance and drive value.
