Job Summary

The Senior IT Asset Analyst works closely with IT Service Management Director and IT Software Asset Sr. Program Manager to ensure the IT Asset Management software inventory is accurate and kept up to date. Responsibilities also include ensuring that software licensing, entitlements, and contract information has been uploaded into the asset management tool in a timely manner. This position is responsible for creating compliance reports for tracking usage of software which can be used for software harvesting and internal audits and for ensuring application information in the application master inventory tool is complete and accurate. Works closely with IT Application and Asset owners to identify the appropriate software for incoming software requests. Creates procedures and job aids related to the management of IT assets and applications. Helps enforce existing and newly created policies and procedures relating to IT Asset Management.

Job Responsibilities:

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Accountable for the design and execution of the software asset management disciplines within the IT Asset Management Team.  Maintains strong relationship with IT Asset Owners and IT Directors to ensure the IT software inventory is current and kept up to date.   Strengthen and mature asset management discipline throughout Flagstar Bank.  Act as subject matter expert on software asset management policies and procedures.  Responsible to implement policies, procedures, and controls to ensure the successful management and reporting of all asset management tracking and reporting.  Create procedures and job aids for maintaining a consistent and accurate software inventory.Report on and manage software asset management inventories for accuracy and completeness.  Perform data analysis to ensure software data is accurate and a high level of quality. Provide direction and mentorship to asset management team members, as required.  Manages the direct oversight of the software asset management processes and compliance activities.  Report to senior leadership on insights related to asset management discrepancies and deficiencies.  Inserts her/himself within the Asset Management space to troubleshoot compliance issues.  Research software compliance and/or contract issues within Coupa, LeanIX, and ServiceNow.  Partners with other members of the IT team to resolve compliance or contract discrepancies.  Create ServiceNow reports and dashboard to ensure the IT asset software inventory stays accurate and complete.  Provide leadership with relevant information to assist in decision making relevant to IT Asset Management processes and policies.Owns training, procedures, and job aids on software asset management processes.  Responsible for communication keeping the asset management staff abreast of all changes to the procedures or job aids. Share, teach and reinforce the use of Asset Management best practices across the team and IT organization. 

ADDITIONAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

Performs special projects, and additional duties and responsibilities, as required.Consistently adheres to regulatory and compliance policies and standards linked to the job as listed and complete required compliance trainings.  Accountable to maintain compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Required Qualifications:

Education level required: Undergraduate Degree (4 years or equivalent) in Information Technology or related field, or equivalent combination of training and related field experience or work experience.Minimum experience required: 5+ Years of experience as a data analyst/specialist or equivalent experience coordinating data management practices preferred and preferably in a financial institution.ServiceNow Asset Management training and certifications.

Preferred Qualifications:

Education level preferred: Undergraduate Degree (4 years or equivalent) in Information Technology or related field.
