Hopkins is located 7 miles west of Minneapolis, boasting natural surroundings in a suburban environment that also provides quick access to major travel ways and local restaurants that give our community a distinct character. Responsibilities POSITION SUMMARY: This position is responsible for planning, leading, organizing, and motivating multiple project teams to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget and scope. The ideal candidate will have experience leading project teams leveraging both waterfall project management methods and Agile frameworks/Scrum as we transform. Responsible for managing several concurrent projects or initiatives that may cross multiple business functions and vendors. The Project Manager may play several roles in actual practice, blending more traditional project management and scrum master practices to achieve high quality results. The Senior IT Project Manager will work with the IT Applications Manager to engage with directors and executives, to review and shape long-term initiatives. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Developing detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports, conducting risk analysis and monitoring the progress of plans against project milestones and budgets Providing support to the team in clearing obstacles and problem solving Serves as mentor for peers including project managers, and more junior project managers Ensuring adherence to quality standards and review of project deliverables Works with governance teams to enable new or enhance existing standards, processes and procedures Provides regular project status reporting to IT and project steering committees. Works within MFI project management framework to ensure that all required project deliverables are met. Work with business to determine KPI metrics for project success Leverage change management process to effectively communicate key project information to stakeholders throughout the company Electronically file all project documents to at times be used in audit processes. Conduct lessons learned/retrospective activities. Qualifications EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: BS/BA Computer Science, Information Systems, or other technical field (such as engineering, science). Or equivalent technical experience. 5+ years related work experience managing IT focused projects. At least 2+ years experience leading large-scale, high impact, systems or process implementations, and/or systems upgrades, to a successful conclusion. Experience with implementing SaaS solutions desired. Familiarity with project management software, such as Microsoft Project or Teams Planner. Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize/execute tasks in high-pressure environment. Demonstrated ability in defining complex business problems and working with business partners to identify possible solutions. Demonstrated ability to apply technology in solving business problems. Highly self-motivated, self-directed, and attentive to detail. Good understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives and ability to relate those to technology solutions. Effective working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. Ability to multi-task, managing serveral projects simultaneously. Ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical stake holders. JOB COMPLEXITIES: This role operates with significant autonomy, requiring minimal day-to-day direction from management once a project is initiated and assigned. The Senior IT Project Manager will collaborate closely with various internal and external teams, including: Business Analysts & Process Leads: To understand project objectives, gather business requirements, and develop project charters. Enterprise Architecture & Strategy: To ensure alignment with IT standards, architectural principles, and strategic roadmaps. Infrastructure: To plan and coordinate infrastructure needs, such as hardware, networking, and systems. Business Partner Services: To leverage existing systems, support, and maintenance capabilities. Cyber Security: To ensure compliance with security policies and best practices throughout the project lifecycle. External Stakeholder Management: The role may involve collaboration with external contractors and consultants to define strategies, evaluate software, determine integration and/or conversion paths, and other project-related activities.
