Sr. IT Systems AdministratorSr. IT Systems Administrator, KBR Wyle Services, LLC, Houston, TX:
Responsible for communicating data governance concepts and processes with the aim of driving continuous improvement across the enterprise. Work closely with key stakeholders to address data challenges and implement processes for Data Life Cycle and Data Quality Management. Contribute to data governance standards, guidelines and other key deliverables bringing a business perspective. Build relationships with data stakeholders and leaders to understand their data challenges whilst promoting and communicating the value of data governance. Identify Data Owners and other Data experts (stewards and custodians) and ensure they clearly understand their role and responsibilities. Apply business analysis and business process capturing skills to understand data from a business perspective. Establish a value-based approach for identifying and prioritizing data governance focus with stakeholders. Lead the creation, review, and approval of data definitions. Work with key stakeholders, define and approve definitions such as business glossary, and technical metadata.
Capture Data Lineage. Capture Data Quality rules, establish data quality metrics and investigate data quality process issues, identifying improvement opportunities. Build a network of data champions and promote the adoption of all Data Governance standards. Contribute to the ongoing maintenance and periodic review of data governance policies, standards, guidelines, and procedures in discussion with other Data Governance Office Team members. Play an active role in the Data Governance framework including participating in relevant forums to escalate and resolve data issues, and share knowledge and best practices amongst other Data Governance Team members. Act as a point of escalation for data governance, and data use issues, working closely with stakeholders to improve the value of data assets, while maintaining compliance with regulations and meeting security requirements. Contribute to driving meaningful measurements of data and reporting on data risks, issues, remediation activities and performance. Establish data governance metrics and KPIs, and periodically report metrics to Data Governance Steering Team. Ensure new solutions and development are in alignment with data architecture and security principles and target state.
Full time employment, Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week.
100% telecommuting permitted. Candidate may reside/work from anywhere in the U.S.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business Analytics or a related field and 5 years of progressive post-bachelor’s related work experience; OR Master’s degree in Computer Science, Business Analytics or a related field and 3 years of related work experience.
Must have 3 years of experience in all of the following:
Working in data-related fields with a focus on data architecture and data quality;Database Queries, SQL, Oracle, and Power Center;Data profiling and defining data quality rules and checks; andBusiness Analytics and Customer Interaction experience.Must have 3 years of experience in Data Governance or Data Stewardship.
Must have a total of 2 years of experience in any combination of all the following tools: Informatica Axon, Informatica EDC, Azure Purview, Informatica IDQ, and Informatica Power Center.
