Sr. Learning Consultant

This is a Non-Employee Contingent Worker Role providing services for TIAA’s family of companies and will be employed by TIAA's preferred 3rd Party Supplier. As a Non-Employee CW, perform a variety of moderately complex business planning, support, and project-related duties. Demonstrates an exceptional standard of quality and holds themselves accountable to achieving excellent results.

This role will sit onsite, likely in a hybrid capacity, at the location(s) listed in this posting.

The anticipated term of this engagement will be 24 months. This term could be extended based on company business needs.

CW-Learning Consultant
The Learning Consultant consults with management to determine the learning needs of the respective business unit that supports strategic priorities, career development, associate development, and business acumen. This job assesses, designs, implements, and supports ongoing learning and development program to support the organization's operational excellence. This job also serves as a consultant, mentor, and resource to leaders in directing team development needs and provides learning programs through various methods.\r\n\r\n

Key Responsibilities and DutiesEvaluates existing training and development programs to enhance the learning experience for employees.\nReviews learning and development operational strategies by analyzing trends, preparing critical measurements, implementing production, productivity, quality, and leading system improvements.\nEvaluates organization strengths and weaknesses by reviewing current learning and development programs, identifying and analyzing performance problems and needs in business units.\nProvides learning and development programs by developing and evaluating potential solutions, aligning solutions with organization strategies, and planning and organizing training and development.\nAssesses learning and development program results by tracking and analyzing performance results, conducting surveys, interviewing unit managers and employees.\nCollaborates with various business units to create training materials that achieve defined learning outcome.\nManages learning and development organizational strategies by contributing information, analysis, and recommendations to strategic direction, creating functional objectives in line with organization goals.\nCoaches and delegates work to lower level professionals to ensure high-quality and timely completion of projects.Educational RequirementsUniversity (Degree) PreferredWork Experience3+ Years Required; 5+ Years PreferredPhysical RequirementsPhysical Requirements: Sedentary Work

This role will assess, design, implement, facilitate, and support ongoing learning and development programs. This job also serves as a consultant and resource to leaders in directing program development needs and provides learning programs through various methods. Working independently under general supervision, this role develops and delivers web-based and in-person professional development programs and provides effective uses of technology in all modes of instruction.

This is a Hybrid role based either in the following office location Charlotte, NC or Frisco, TX.
 

Responsibilities:

Conduct skills gap analyses and assess learning needsWorking with subject matter experts (SMEs) and identifying target audience’s training needsCollaborate with SMEs to create engaging training course content and learning activities that enhance the learning process by:Designing detailed educational curriculum, including dates, topics and number of hours required per courseDetermining evaluation criteriaDeveloping and edit learning material and contentDeveloping instructor’s manuals, rubrics, and other teaching toolsAppling tested instructional design theories, practice and methodsCreating supporting material/media (audio, video, simulations, role plays, games etc)Creating and validate assessment toolsAreas of training include, but are not limited to, technical and soft skill trainingDevelops engaging learning activates and course materials that improves retention and transfer of knowledge.Facilitate training, ensuring effective engagement and comprehension among participants, while providing ongoing support and feedback.

Required Skills

Foundational knowledge of Instructional Design principles and adult learning theory.Experience in customized, thoughtful, creative Learning Experiences beyond basic eLearning.Extensive knowledge of best practices in the creation & design of instructional materials for adult education and/or corporate trainingAbility to effectively present complex technical and soft-skill concepts through design and visuals.Proven ability to facilitate training sessions effectively, fostering participant engagement and ensuring successful knowledge transfer.Minimum 5 years of work experience as an Instructional Designer preferred.

Base Pay Range: $31.73/hr. - $49.04/hr.

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.
