Job Description/ResponsibilitiesThe Senior Learning Specialist will play a crucial role in supporting the design and delivery of high-quality, engaging, and impactful training programs to team members. The specialist will collaborate with subject matter experts across the organization to address specific learning outcomes related to leadership and organizational development. This position requires a skilled communicator which employes adult learning methodologies to engage diverse audiences. The position will also support various aspects of the learning and development function, including program leadership, content development, reporting, vendor management and the Learning Management System (LMS) administration.
Key Objectives:
Learning and Development:
Facilitates professional skills and leadership development trainings. Create engaging and interactive learning content, including presentations, e-learning and training materials to meet the needs of the learner. Facilitate discussions, activities and exercises to promote knowledge sharing, skill development and retention.Collaborates with identified stakeholders and subject matter experts to design and manage learning programs and key learning projects.Develops, designs, delivers, and evaluates relevant learning programs that facilitate the development goals and continuous learning of Sazerac team members on a range of topics including leadership development, onboarding and orientation, and other training defined by business needsConducts needs assessments and training gap analysis to create relevant training.Leadership and Career Development:
Collaborates with talent manager to support talent pipeline development needs through combinations of assignments, experiences, training and coaching to meet emerging needs in the organization. Uses CDS to develop own career path.Supports expansion of existing leadership development training to organization, and addition of manager training and high potential team member training.Links development and learning opportunities to performance development plans to support engagement with the Performance Development System (PDS). Uses PDS to develop own skillset and achieve performance objectives and goals.Reporting and Administration:
Develop and maintain reports to track key learning and development metrics, including training participation, satisfaction, and effectiveness.Assists with training logistics, including scheduling and managing participants. Maintains record of training attendance, evaluation, and other relevant data.Administers the Sazerac LMS, including user management, course catalog management, system configuration, analytics, and communications. Support implementation of new LMS or system updates to improve learner experience. Qualifications/RequirementsRequired:
Bachelor’s degree Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in learning and development. Proven experience as a training facilitator or similar role, with a strong background in delivering engaging and effective training programs.Experience working with senior leadership to successfully design, implement and execute programs.Leadership or supervisory experience is preferred.Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information in a clear and understandable manner.Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Strong organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail.Experience with program or project management.Ability to travel to facilitate training or support implementation of site-based training programs.

Compensation: Placement within the salary range is calculated based on years of directly relatable experience for the position. The salary range refers to base salary only and does not include car allowance, annual bonus, fuel, or cell phone reimbursement.
