Job Description

As a Senior Industrial Engineer - Logistics you will support production and logistics areas by establishing and maintaining the most efficient logistics processes. You will also be designing the future of the factory by participating in exciting projects we are running. In this journey you will report to the Business Team Leader - Logistics Engineering and be part of a team of about 20 Industrial Engineers.

Core Responsibilities: 

Design internal and external logistics processes that utilize lean manufacturing concepts and best practice efficient material flowDefine strategies to optimize logistics procedures, improve manpower workload balancing, and decrease logistics costs in both factory and warehouse environmentsImplement future material handling flows and all supporting physical and electronic processes and documentation inside production factory and warehouseCreate process standardizations, operator expectations, material disbursement routes, and related KPI/PIs supporting Material Availability at Point of UseStrong data purification and analysis skills; must be able to make data driven decisions and influenceDefine and execute warehouse layout and process optimization. Design warehouse capacity and plan for future changes.Understand packaging structure, execute adjustments for inventory volumes changes, and how it impacts supply chain and internal material handling processesHelp create a facility that is founded on a Plan for Every Part (PFEP) station layout with just-in-time deliveriesDesign and define warehouse strategy to prepare for future product and industrial changeGuiding and mentoring newer team members in the training processes

QualificationsBachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain, or equivalent required3+ years' experience required preferably in Logistics, Logistic Engineering and/or Logistics Project Management in an Industrial or Manufacturing Environment in Automotive or related Industry

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Strong communication, planning, organization, and visualization/presentation skillsGreenfield and/or existing factory and process design and implementation experienceFamiliar with reading prints or layouts generated by programs such as AutoCAD

Additional InformationAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.This position is to be on-site to support our customer’s Heavy Truck Division.Experience with the Core responsibilities supporting the assembly plants for any of the following industries will be considered: Heavy Trucks, Military Vehicles, Aircraft, Train, Automobile, large Agriculture equipment, heavy Machinery, or heavy Construction equipment.
