Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Sr. Logistics Specialist to join our team in Norfolk, VA 

Summary:


This position will be overall responsible for the scoping, preparing, development, validation, implementation of Logistics support for Carrier readiness and Modernization. Responsible for assigned efforts on US Navy Carrier (CVN) ships.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Provide critical support to aircraft carrier operations by delivering comprehensive training, analysis, and technical assistance on maintenance Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) systems and programs.  Maintain, review, and evaluate Configuration and Systems Maintenance Plans (CSMPs), Corrective Action Requests (CASREPs), ship configurations, technical documentation, and material usage data to ensure operational efficiency and compliance with regulatory standards.Support planning, logistics readiness, and weapons systems support meetings with key stakeholders, including NAVSEA, NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support, Supervisor of Shipbuilding, Huntington Ingalls Industries Newport News, CVN personnel, and other relevant entities, contributing valuable insights and recommendations for enhancing logistics operations.Participates presentations weekly for the Command Readiness Calls, identifying supply chain and habitability alternatives to resolve obsolescence issues across the fleet.

Minimum Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED, and 15 years of experience of direct involvement with Naval Logistics onboard aircraft carriers with a strong knowledge in Integrated Logistics Support (ILS).Eight (8) years working knowledge of Logistics policies, procedures, practices and instructions on CVN’s, can be in conjunction with above experienceExperience in use of Microsoft Office ProductsExperience working with naval crew

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a Engineering or Technical field   Recent experience working directly with NAVSEA, NAVSUP.Experience analyzing and evaluating Nuclear Ships requirements, to make recommendations of logistics actions to the Supply Officer. –Experience in FEDLOG, OneTouch, AMSRR, ACANAB and CDMOA.

Clearance Requirements:

Must be a US Citizen and have an active Secret Security Clearance

Physical Requirements:

The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.Manipulate standard office equipment, Computer, Files, Fax Machine. etc..Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual.
